Footwell intrusion

Crocs.....now there is a clothing choice of the homeless
Footwear of choice of us who live in the bush and aren't allowed inside wearing grubby shoes.
This morning I mowed over a large pile of vegetation wearing my camo crocs. Because I can, and because wearing thongs in the bush is just gormless!
Maybe I'll take them to wear at the Ed Sheeran concert in Melbourne tomorrow.

That is one reason I have specced no carpets!
Tell a cattle farmer in green pastureland to take his Wellington boots off and he'll tell you something off!
And you never know what's festering in a Tassie boghole. Scrape the worst of the mud off and head back home!
Rubber mats only! Carpet was a no no the day I saw the options list. From concrete dusty mud boots to a truck I would be shot by the wife if I specced carpet.

Had anyone test driven in thongs? Not the American type btw! I know it's not safe but dang comfortable in the Triton

No , I don't own a pair of either , but on the 11th March I'll take my pair of camo crocs with me on the test drive , to prove to Dave that even homeless people can drive Grenadiers.

Judging by what I saw wandering past Suncorp stadium last Sunday week for the final Sheeran concert, crocs and stubbie shorts would rank as formalwear here in parts of Brisbane

Maybe Belstaff can release a range of designer waxed cotton thongs (the things that go on your feet not up your crack), then they can provide a pair with the jacket for every Grenadier Belstaff edition.

Or maybe Les our Bushguide run do a side hustle fashioning them from real croc skin?

Yes, thongs were worn driving at Hanging Rock. No problem at all.

I change out of my work/safety boots before I get back in the car when possible as I am often on waste water treatment plants and who knows what may be on the boots.
Short drives are no problem but if you are going to do 3+ hours maybe it is worth considering different footwear

I do the same
Left foot siting mostly flat on the floor and side of leg leaning on the centre console.
I wear barefoot flat sole shoes/boots so that makes it easier.

When I lived in Oz I was told not to wear thongs whilst driving in case they dislodge and get stuck under the brake pedal. This kind of advice is alarming for anyone from who is not a native of The Lucky Country 😁

I wear Crocs (with the strap behind for maximum attack mode) and drive in a thong too....err, yea, I mean thongS ...

Do you then have to stoop to see out of the windows ?

When I first sat in one and specifically looked at the footrest, I thought no issue, having got back in another one I did start to wonder if it is going to make my knee or hip ache on long drives.

However I won’t be doing many long drives as I can’t afford the petrol. If it’s a long drive I will take my economical little car and get a bad back instead 😃
I didn't have to stoop
