I find the sport setting a bit too brutal, unless on very open roads.

Yes sport setting certainly has some get up and go, not done many miles yet but have set on mid position and that is much more responsive than original.

Dont use mine as a daily driver at the moment as in the van all week (MAN tge 4x4) but took it on my usual weekend run . Only 1900 miles on the clock at the moment and 70% of this has been to the same destination about 85miles round trip, mixture of A and B roads good section of dual carriageway.
Im on 18 inch with KO2s and diff lockers, my mpg remains constant on the screen at 26.3 mpg, do not drive it to conserve fuel drive to enjoy it.
Before leaving put the peddle box onto its highest sport setting to give it a good try over 80 miles, yes fun to drive with great response. I know it was working due to the looks from my wife, you know the ones. What did surprise me I returned 26.6mpg.

I find it best to get to set speed fast as possible, then off pedal and cruise, surely best MPG!

Another happy evcX401 adopter here! The lag on set off for the diesel almost got me into some accidents....now it's gone. Ult 4 seems to be the sweetspot setting for me. The best few hundred $'s I've spent in a long time.

I installed the evcX401 today which was a fairly simple process after removing the throttle pedal for easier access (one bolt at the base of the unit).

The difference in response is amazing - the lag seems to be completely eliminated (MY24, diesel).

Glad to have made the investment

Yes its amazing the difference this little mod makes for me it totally transformed the driving experience, it was the pulling out into traffic was my biggest concern.

Just ordered one. I'm looking for smoother slower tip in. Pittsburgh is a bit steep, and I notice when I stop at a traffic light, right at the top of the hill, the lag and shift happen just as the ridge is cleared, and I go faster than I wanted. Yea, it's kinda specific, but I never noticed how frequent it is that stop signs or traffic light is at the top of a ridge around here, until now. I find myself groaning when I hit one, like a 15yo with his first standard transmission on hill with a guy on his ass. For speed, if I want the the other two barrels open, I'll just mash it.

My PedalBox Pro seems to have completely got rid of the lag on my diesel. Might be I am less attuned than yourself. Certainly doesn’t leave me wanting at roundabouts.

Didn't take long to fit but you need strong fingers to disconnect the electrical connector. Also, make sure the keys are not in the ignition until all is fitted. A few bings & bongs once reinstated but they went away within a minute or two.

Yes. Very easy to do so. Just one screw I think. Covered with a tiny round plastic cap and situated at the base of the pedal.

Yes apple is ok but android version is unavailable at the moment l contacted dtuk they have contacted dte Germany for update

For those in AUS still deciding on this, Autobarn currently has the evcX401 on sale for $239.99.

I installed mine over the weekend and surprised by the positive impact it has to the overall driving experience. Well worth it.
