WAY stronger when mounted to the tubes.

Really? I have Leitner mounts replacing my factory brackets and feel very good about it. The basic factory brackets ultimately support the factory tubes and everything bolted to the factory tubes. So if you trust that setup, skipping the tube and going straight to the source of support with a much beefier milled bracket just seems stronger IMO.

OTOH, the rails themselves from DVA mechanics are incredibly low profile. Very impressive!

Leitner also offers an option that simply grabs the bar.

As passionate Grenadier owners, our philosophy is: “Build what we need first.” Our roof rails came to life because no existing solution fit in our garage.

We’re excited to share more details next week!

Looks great! I'm gonna have to replace my home brew t-slot solution now... Yours is much more elegant.

Does it rest on the factory roof supports too, or just the mounting tubes?
