'I was totally thrilled with the idea of the grenadier. Robust, valuable, only as much electronics as necessary a car for hard work and a long car life.

Unfortunately, the reality does not correspond to marketing. The pretty movies and the presentations at the dealer don't correspond to the product, unfortunately. I always wanted to like it...even now I still want it but the box makes it really hard.

What is dismissed by many hardcore fans as "little things" makes life difficult for you in everyday life...the box is annoying in many things.

I'm currently touring France with the part and every day there is a new surprise. Sometimes the "belt warning" goes on in the middle of the highway and then whines incessantly....even after a break and restart it could not be fixed. At some point it was gone again....but 200 km on the train with constant buzz cost nerves. Then the turn signals fell out...no fun in the middle of the city. The fuel gauge is not working at the moment. The vehicle cannot be closed with the remote control key, the rear window wiper runs suddenly or the error message prompts you to step on the brake. Completely crazy! In addition, there are the mechanical problems such as the imprecise steering and the vibrations between 100-125 km/h, so exactly the area you need on long distances abroad. Then it is not tight, it rains purely in heavy rain. The windshield fogs up by the air conditioning. The ergonomics are not right, so you can't get to the backrest adjustment of the seats without pinching your fingers. The turning circle is far too big for a vehicle of this outside mass and makes old life arduous. The monitor with the speed display in the middle and the navigation system far outside always make eyeturns necessary that strain....there is already its reason why the displays have always been placed in front of the driver as much as possible for decades. The height of 2.05 meters prevents entry into many garages, underground garages or parking lots. In addition, there is the poor service. 5-year warranty is of little use if spare parts are not available or dealers do not know what to do in case of problems. Of course, accessories such as towbar are not available. Even floor mats cannot be delivered. I have already named many off-road vehicles of my own. such as Jeep, Landrover, Suzuki, Hyundai, Mitsubishi...but I have never experienced that and could not imagine it. The grenadier is currently an expensive vehicle for fans and hobbyists. In my opinion, completely unsuitable for everyday life or business. Too bad.'

I can understand the complaint with faults. But many of the above listed problems were known before purchase. Height, turning circle, central display.. I imagine him buying a ladder and then complaining that it is too short.

Urlaub zu Ende bringen, Händlertermin zur Behebung von Mängeln wahrnehmen…wenn endlich die Teile da sind. Dann den neuen Toyota Landcruiser im Oktober bestellen und den Grenadier werd ich wohl verkaufen.

Ich habe meinen jetzt seit gut 7 Wochen, bin 2 Tage nach der Abholung damit nach Griechenland gefahren und habe jetzt 7500 km runter….
Ja es war manches nervig. Abgesehen von unsinnigen Fehlermeldungen oder Gurtgepiepse wurde es besonders in Griechenland sehr kuschelig, da die Klimaanlage nicht funktionierte. Mein Fehler, hätte ich bei Abholung testen sollen, gehört aber zur Erstinspektion, da hat die Werkstatt versagt.
Und Wassereinbruch bei Starkregen kenne ich auch.
ABER: ich mag ihn trotzdem. Das wir als Erstbesteller alle Testfahrer sind war doch vorher klar. Und ja, die Werbung war deutlich besser als der Service jetzt.
Der alte Defender war aber auch nicht perfekt, da gab es auch vieles zu verbessern, was man am zahlreich angebotenen Zubehör sehen kann.
Wenn Dein Händler auch schon genervt und demotiviert ist, gucke doch mal nach einem Servicepartner von Ineos. Bei mir (Hamburg) ist das eine reine Offroadwerkstatt, die nur mit Geländewagen arbeitet und entsprechende Erfahrung hat. Vielleicht gibt es sowas auch bei Dir ?
Und bedenke, selbst wenn Du Dir jetzt einen neuen Toyota bestellst, bist Du auch da erstmal Testfahrer. Auch wenn die schon jahrzehntelang Autos bauen….
Ich würde da nicht so schnell aufgeben…..

Danke für die ErmunterungUrlaub beendet…3000 km ging die Tankanzeige nicht jetzt funktioniert sie wieder..es geht bergauf …vielleicht kriegt er noch ne Urlaubstour und sollten die Vibrationen-die wirklich das aller nervigste sind-danch verschwinden dann darf er vielleicht beliben. Ich will ihn ja mögen…ein paar Macken erzeugen ja auch Charakter…aber die Summe an Fehlern ist einfach zu hoch bei Ineos und für ein modernes Auto. Ein Defender dessen Grundentwurf von 1948 stammt und der bis zum Schluss per Hand zusammen geschraubt wurde dem kann ich vieles verzeihen, aber einem neu entwickelten Auto das. mit dem Anspruch formuiert wurde ein verlässliches Nutzfahrzeug zu sein….dem nicht wirklich. Da hat Ineos jetzt schon sehr viel Vertrauen verspielt. Man hört ja auch rumoren das die Verkaufszahlen nicht durch die Decke gehen im Gegenteil.

Hallo Smarty, ist natürlich sehr unschön. Ein freund von mir hatte ebenfalls große Probleme elektronischer Art bei einem Porsche 991 und einem Aston Martin Vantage. Ist ein guter Anwalt und hat gewandelt. Die jeweiligen Fahrzeuge die er dann bekommen hat waren ok.

Passiert einfach ab und zu. Ich habe meine E-Klasse und danach den gle amg 43 nicht über 100k km gebracht bis zum Motorschaden. Seit dem bmw x5. Und bmw/zf war ein Argument für die Bestellung des grenny!
