I've been traveling on the Côte d'Azur for 3 days now and haven't seen a single Grenadier. The French don't seem to have discovered the Grenadier yet. Tomorrow I'm going to Monaco. Let's see what it looks like there. Maybe I'll put on my Grenadier T-shirt. Let's see if my coming out helps me to be approached.

Good luck in Monaco @rovie. I passed through there last year and only saw these tacky low budget rides. Nary a Grenadier to be seen

Yes, they don't attach that much importance to cars in the corner down there. I think the posh Grenadiers are well protected in the underground garages. Let's see, maybe I'll meet Sir Jim.

They don`t drive the Grenadier, because you pay twice with co2 Anti Pollution Tax around 70.000€ per car.

It wasn't easy to find a berth. The set-up work for the Monaco Grand Prix is in full swing. I didn't see a single Grenadier. But it would stand out here. Nobody turns around after the G models.

That one is cool. I have another vehicle that requires the button push, so I’m sitting tight for the moment.

I'm wondering if there's another means of disabling the stop /start. ie a systems hack instead of a mechanical switch "impeder"
Our Subaru Impreza has S/S by default... unless one disables it each time the ignition is cycled. It is cancelled when towing like the Grenadier.
On the Impreza, the S/S is cancelled when the spring loaded cover for the 7pin trailer socket is kept open. There's a small plastic coated magnet spanning two adjacent pin sockets embedded in the spring loaded socket cover. When closed, the S/S function is activated, when open, it's suppressed. The simple hack was to remove the magnet ! No trouble codes,no automatic reversion to S/S...

I inserted a 13/7 adapter I have for hitching a box trailer into the standard Grenadier trailer plug but the S/S function was still active (although I hadn't connected the trailer plug)

So: I'm wondering if a dummy 13 pin plug with resistors between one or more of the pins and the earth pin on the cable input side, to emulate a load would suffice to disable the S/S function. Simply leave the plug in the socket until it's removed for trailer connection....

While I'm handy with a soldering iron, calculating the resistive load and which pins to connect is probably better left to someone with more understanding. There are several "EE"s on this forum...might this be a feasible solution?
