No.
Initially I told the dealer that I wouldn't pay until i had seen it and he said that was ok
I just decided to go ahead while I had the cash sitting in my account so i didn't spend it on something else.
I have just had my steps bolted onto my girl at the agents today at Noosa and he has about eleven Grens that arrived yesterday and are sitting there now waiting for the OZ version indicators to arrive and be fitted...they can't say how long that will be but I bet the person who has paid upfront will have priority...Not long now for the Beast (y)

Last Thursday the sale of our house on the Gold Coast finalised and we ended up with just enough cash to pay out the mortgage on it, the mortgage on the house we are living in at the moment and to pay cash for the Grenadier.
Plus order the shed.
I figured let's just get it all done and move on.
No debts, no credit cards or loans.
Minimal living costs and a simple life.
And the Beast..........

I am glad to hear that everything has finally settled the right way after all those unexpected turns your live had provided to you the last year!
You deserve it!

Amen that is nice! well deserved Dave and family!

Waiting for news.

What's up, @DaveB ?

DaveB is being modest - he sold his house for a MOTZA on the Gold Coast (I know - got one there too!) and is retiring to the peaceful locale of the Fraser Coast. (y)

Well ..............
My vehicle is still sitting at the port.
However I just made the final payment of $40,000
So in theory the Beast is now mine.

Did you get an email from Ineos requesting payment?

My car came of the same boat in late August and is supposed to get to the dealer tomorrow, but no payment request from Ineos to date.
Cheers
Steve

I sold my house for a modest sum
I paid off the mortgage on that house.
I also paid off the mortgage on my house in Toogoom.
I paid cash for the Beast.
I am now left with a deposit on the Beasts shed.
And a job working from home as a glorified sales rep.
I haven't been a sales rep since 1987, it amuses me greatly to know I can still do it.
I turn 61 in December and my wife turns 64 next week.
all in all life is pretty good.

I find it amusing that this week the cash flow in my bank account has been as below, but i am still sitting here in front of my computer, with a reasonable single malt, on the Ineos forum.
that's after i paid out the $817,000 on my original mortgage.
Now i am poor again.

We did the same DaveB except I have a small debt owing on the 2nd home! Small enough that rates won't bother us! But the car!

But don't you feel poor as you don't have the grenny yet ;) I mean can money really make you happy or would a grenny do it ;)

It could be much worse @DaveB , you could be like me reduced to drinking turps after it’s been through the Brita ;) Bit tangly and I don’t recommend this to any living soul.

That single malt will be so much better sitting in the back of your Grenadier though looking out at that view of yours.
