On the way back were driving head on in to window and the wind deflector started making a pretty loud vibrating noise. Enough to take my foot off and drop down from around 105 km/h to 90 km/h until we‘d left the windy spot. Did a quick pit stop and took a look but all looked fine.
I wouldn‘t take away from the general quality of the roof rack (well who would once they‘d bought one, eh?) but one thing struck me was that perhaps a slightly thicker gauge metal for the wind deflector would avoid this. Perhaps also an additional couple of bolts attaching the deflector to the roof rack might stiffen it out a bit as well.
Anyway my 2c and since I work in software not mechanical engineering I‘m way off from being able to provide an expert opinion.
But thought I‘d throw that out there just in case of any past or future similar experience.

Did you ever get this figured out? Anyone else seen this?

I haven't installed my roof rack yet, planning to do it in the next few weeks. I've been working and researching lights that I'd like to mount to it first before putting it up on top..

For anyone reading, the UK based specialist from triple-r provided me with a great solution. They have an angle bracket specifically made for attaching that light to a roof rack.

They specialist shared with me that this is the bracket used by the LR community to get lights up on the roof.

now if I could just get something fabricated to get those beauties to fit in the grill and ditch the OEM ones I would have found Eldorado!

Driving home a couple of weeks ago towards the end of our 1800km sojourn from Cairns I pressed on into the night ... At one stage I turned on the grill lights. My faithful co-driver asked what purpose the lights served.. she was, shall we say, "underwhelmed"... I surmised they were for "form" rather than "function"...

I was however quite happy with the horizontal spread of the high beams... wandering cattle and

are an ever present danger... Thankfully we were spared both.

34.5"/87.6cm to the top of the center headrest which is the advertised distance from the floor to the bottom of the BG rack as @Cheshire cat 's photo shows. The side headrests lean forward pretty far so fitting the Cargo Shelf looks doable perhaps with minor adjustment. All headrests at full extension. I don't know enough about the APB unit yet but it looks easy to modify.

Just a follow up for anyone who has the reclining 2nd row seat brackets in a standard 5-seat model.

Send them an email. They just told me in an email today on a different matter that they have a bracket for a grill mounted sentinel

Received table yesterday and just finished the final adjustments.
Table tucks away nice. Yet to drive anywhere with it up top but leaving on a trip Saturday.

That table is a great idea! Do you happen to have any other pictures of the rack on your IG? I am getting close to pulling the trigger on a rack and can't seem to find many photos of them on a Magic Mushroom Grenadier.

I also received the table about three weeks ago, just in time for my holiday. As the table doesn't fit under my Rhino rack crossbars (I don't have the Bison Gear Rack), I mounted the table crosswise under my roof tent. It fits perfectly and I can reach it even when the 270 degree awning is up.
The table has shown some signs of use in the two weeks, but I am very satisfied.

I got my roof rack mounted. I have a bit of wind noise at 65mph, enough that I want to increase the radio volume. The rack is completely quiet at 50mph.
Is this normal?

i have zero noise. where do you have the additional panels installed? you might want to read this post below regarding my situation. All good now though.

Harsh Vibration at high speeds

I’m getting a harsh vibration that I can feel in the steering wheel, seat and basically the whole car. It starts at 75 mph and then intensifies as I get to 80 and 85. It becomes very uncomfortable to drive at 80. I had my tires road forced balanced twice and they said that is not an issue. I...

I have the 3 panels installed up front. i'll open the safari window and see if that changes anything.
i don't have any vibration, just a bit of wind noise.
