Good questions - Steve isn’t vertically challenged either.Hi Steve - (at Haliwell Jones Chester).
Regarding the issue of the left footrest for RHD versions - much has been written on this issue & many of us are trying to establish what it's impact will be.
Therefore, I would like to know;
1. What is your view on it's size, positioning and impact on driving a RHD Grenadier?
2. What feedback have you received from clients/publicon it?
3. What information, if any, have you given and/or received from INEOS about the RHD drivers footrest?
Many thanks
@grenadierboy For reference I'm 6ft 2in and have mainly driven BMW cars for the past number of years. I mention BMW as people tend to say their pedals are offset.Hi Steve - (at Haliwell Jones Chester).

Thanks so much Steve for your precisely stated comments.@grenadierboy For reference I'm 6ft 2in and have mainly driven BMW cars for the past number of years. I mention BMW as people tend to say their pedals are offset.
The size of the footrest doesn't offend me in the slightest. The position of it sits closer to the seat than normal but again this hasn't really bothered me. Obviously I've not done any distance in the car but speaking to the guys that have on a personal level they've not complained.
I had been told that the angle was going to become more shallow in its design. I have mentioned the footrest to plenty at INEOS.
As for people getting in the cars at shows, people I have met on the forum or people that have followed the car from day one watching every video made mention it to me.
On the other hand people seeing the car for the first time asking me "is this the new defender" don't even mention the footrest. I think it would be arrogant of me to say it's a placebo effect but I also don't think it's quite as big an issue as certain people make out.
Certain cars have certain quirks to them and still sold thousands, this maybe a quirk of the Grenadier, personally though I don't see it but again this maybe down to how I normally sit in a car and how I position my feet when driving.
It will all be personal opinion at the end of the day and the car won't be for everyone but for those who do buy it I'm sure they'll love it.
Anyway that's my opinion on it, and I'd like to think you guys trust what I say and it's not just because I want to sell more of them.
Steve.
I believe they drive on the right hand side of the road in Albania, but PT02-008 is RHD.Lets hope he was driving a RHS vehicle.![]()
Thanks Steve for going the "extra mile" for feedback on this issueJust for a bit more clarity for everyone, I have just messaged a friend who is one of the drivers in Albania supporting the GS Trophy. Below is the screenshot of my question and his answer.

I think it borders on embarrassing that our only official link to Ineos is via Steve who kindly assists us as best he can. So glad he is my local dealer but a bit tedious having no feedback from the builder. On the plus side. I will keep the faith going for now at least. Thanks so much Steve for your precisely stated comments.
I think many will appreciate them and it should help allay the fears some have.
As mentioned before - I did the prototype tour of the Grenadier in Australia last year (and also sat in the driver's seat for a few minutes).
I remember thinking that the drivers foot/pedal area was on the smallish side; that the left footrest was quite wide and it had a fairly steep angle but....but....I don't recall finding it overtly uncomfortable when placing my foot on it and the accelerator. I am 5.10".
