I have noticed a wind whistle which I initially thought was coming from outside. Then I turned the air con fan off to have a better listen and it stopped! Yes, from about position 2 on, there is remote, but annoying (wind) whistle. Anyone else had the same, and if so, any fixes?

On older cars that usually means some sort of obstruction: e.g. leaf but, on a new car it's very difficult for a foreign object to get past a dual filtration system

Try just the fan without the a/c to eliminate the fan itself, assuming you haven't already done that. I've had a few cars were the fan is slightly out of balance and at the higher speeds tend to make a whistling noise

Yes, the whistle is there with fan only on.

At least you now know it's not the a/c. It is common on cars when the fan is on at higher speeds. The fan blade will be cheap pressed thin aluminium or plastic bit, certainly won't be a balanced piece of engineering. Hence the whistle, or a roar at high speed. Mention to your dealer to check for any blade interference but I'm willing to bet it will be a "live with it" reply.

Man you just dredged up old trauma. Leaves used to get pulled into the AC on my old Nissan in high school/college and they would drive me mad! Haven't had it on any car since, but one of the reasons I got rid of my BMW was a mystery rattle in the dash. My 4Runner has noises from everywhere, so it's hard to be bothered by any of them.

Yep I have had the same (and not identified a cause or solution to date). I am now leaving air con on which does seem to address/alleviate the issue

Got the same here. Guess it’s works as designed 😉

I have this too
I got call from my Ineos Rep which they are aware of. Potential Loss of "gas" due to a small leak or not enough gas when it came from the factory. Although they tested it pre-delivery issues appear to be after a longer drive. Fix is apparently quick. Just waiting for my local IA rep to book me in to get it fixed.

Add me to the list. Aircon worked fine for the first five weeks but today it is not cooling and is making gurgling sounds through the evaporator {suspect low or no gas).

Well I have found at least one leak site. This charging point (yellow cap) has a tell-tale compressor oil film around it. On close inspection the cap is loose. The cap is a secondary seal. On closerer inspection the Schrader valve is leaking. You can see the gas bubbles in this pic. A wipe across the port with a soapy finger made it blow a bubble. A slow leak.
That aluminium pipe is one piece that wraps around the engine. I hope the valve core can be replaced 😬

Can you nip the valve up a bit?

They're normally welded in and not serviceable, (edit. Valve housing, plugs maybe) if they leak then it's a replacement pipe. At least thats been my experience.

Get a black light on it and see if there are any other leaks, theres a slim chance that they put in UV dye when first charged. On a side and unrelated note, sometimes the type of coolant that these engines use comes up really well on a UV light as well, for those very slight coolant leaks...

Usually replaceable but many different types, good practice to change them if having any air con work done. Worth a nip up anyway.
