    Accessory feedback from current owners

In the video around the 2:30 mark, Thomas says they are 33's, and they look fantastic.

That Blacksheep vid. If those tyres are 285/75 then they are 33.83" on 17" rims or 34.83" if on 18's. I like the 2.5" lift and whatever size tyres those are.

Choosing a Color - Grenadier Colors in the Wild

Sweet as a nut! Re-paint or wrap? Guessing 285/70/17s on Method 702 bead grips too, 17" x 7.5", offset +50 EDIT: Looks like 285/75/17s

Americas Bridgestone All-Terrain Tire vs BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 Tire.....save 1k on the build?

You sir are correct. Mea culpa. I just went back and looked at what I entered into the convert site and I used 285 75 17. The 75 makes it 33.8.

...+55mm. Going to a 17x8" + 40mm offset would net; 9mm MORE inner clearance at susp EXTEND an extra 21mm outboard towards fenderwell 285s look proper IMHO; I'm still stuck on 285/75/17 (34.1"dia). Going a bit more aggressive on the wheel though with another 10mm of poke. Thanks for the pics all!

USA Grenadier Experience (Seattle Region) 11-12 May

...when he drove. Oil spec; most likely it'll need to meet/exceed BMW Longlife-17 FE+. 33" tires; 285/70/17, or 255/80/17? I think I found my 285/75/17s and different wheels last night, although 255/80/17 seem to weigh about 10lbs less per corner, which is quite a bit. @Otis Porsche asked about...

    Mud Terrains

I dont think there will be a major issue when you have all 4 wheels a slightly bigger size. The problem will be having a spare a different size. That is likely to be a problem. I wouldn’t do it. If it doesn’t fit on door, Black Sheep Innovations is making an offset spare adapter mount which...

    Mud Terrains

I would hope not. While my '03 G500 freaked out on twisty roads when I went from 265/60/18 (30.5"dia) to 285/75/16 (32.8"dia)--I literally had to learn to drive with 2 feet, left barely on the brake to tell the truck I was braking, right on the throttle to move the truck thru the corners--those...

Interesting. We only have the STT Pro here in the USA. Have a web link handy for the STT?

    Mud Terrains

I once drove COOPER DISCOVERER STT (not "PRO") on my Toyota J 9 in the size 285/75/16. These MTs were great, EVEN IN WINTER (Snow and Ice) - that is not typical for MTs. So I think about - when I chance the wheel size - to take some nice MTs, perhaps the COOPERs. But you are right, in sand they...

Already know a company ready for this, where 37-38" tires would be standard and no need for re-gearing... For me, I'm looking to first go with 285/75/17 (33.9"-34.1"dia); https://tiresize.com/tiresizes/285-75R17.htm

...Or even 295/70/17 Cooper ST MAXX 295/70/17 st maxx Professional Off-road Racing :p 5.0% bigger 21mm bigger all around will they fit 295 Or even 285/75/17 Cooper ST MAXX maybe too big without modding. I've run these Coopers before; better off-road in mud than BFG KO2 AT in my...

    Is the IG underpowered?

This is my thinking too. Normally aspirated vehicles loose as much as 30% of their power at 10k feet while a turbo charged vehicle like the Grenadier should maintain a good chuck of its efficiency (assuming the turbo is sized correctly). So the difference should be bigger. Someone mentioned...

...into the car without a problem. (Maybe only 60 cm when full of load.) And it looks higher, that is true - not only because of Old Men Emu and 285/75-16! So I ordered the IG without steps, and even without sliders. In the past I didn´t drive such heavy tracks in the mountains - and when you...

I like the Southafrica-Videos with the 35´´ tyres, I love the new Namibia-Videos from INEOS with the 35´´ tyres. But I also heard that it wasn´t easy to put them under the car... Have you allready seen the Youtube-Video of a new Defender Oneten on 37´´ tyres - and the car is still rolling...

...smaller but still skinny tire, BFG makes a 34” metric equivalent, or at least did a couple years ago, in the KM3. Here is the same Jeep on 285/75-17 KM2s. Fit the Jeep with a mild (2”) lift, but benefitted from flat fenders which I installed a couple weeks after getting these tires:  ...

    3rd party Videos 35s

I'm a fan of Cooper Tires in general; nice to hear that you have had a good experience with the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT. This is how Cooper describes the tire, for anyone who is interested: The Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT "...is an all-terrain tire built to haul heavy loads and withstand...

    3rd party Videos 35s

My current favorite tire is the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT.  It's available in 285/75-17, measuring 33.82x11.5 on an 8" wide wheel.  Old rule of thumb is that for each 1/2" of rim width, you can add/subtract 0.2" of section width, so on the 17x7.5" wheels shown on the prototype tour, that's more...

    Tech Specs

Ill keep you posted on my Wheel/tire choice when I get mine (hopefully this autumn)   , as we sound to have a similar idea. I think BRAID wheels would be my 1st choice, as a good mate of mine is a dealer for them. They can make any size and stud pattern you want, are strong as anything, and look...

...My plan is probably steelies and KO2s, run them for a while.  Then maybe look into some aftermarket wheels (Method, FN, ?) and bump up to a 285/75-17 (33.8" tall) in my favorite Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT.  Or maybe stick with the steelies. I just can't wait to get my hands on a Grenadier. ...
