Hello,

as soon as I hold the keys to my Grenadier in my hand, I'm planning to get some decent rims and tires.

I found out, that You can purchase tires in the size of 285/75 18.

Are there any experiences or pictures out there of running the size on the Grenadier?

If so, what are the neccessary preparations? Would a lift of 1,5inch be suffincient for that?

Regards Horst

Of course I need a box for matching the speedometer!

I have 285/75r17... speedo is *maybe* 1/2mph off. So you probably wont need anything to adjust the speedo.
The 285/75r17 is a significanly smaller tire than the 285/75r18. It is about 1" smaller. I have tried to get feedback from this forum on this 18" tire size but no luck since most treads are discussing the 17" tire size. Let is know if you get the 285/17r18 to fit and what you had to do to avoid any rubbing.

I'll get right on that.

All thing equal 17's are a better offroad size then 18" ( more sidewall = better) 285/75/r18 in essentially a 35" tire, several people run that size without a lift and report no rubbing although I am skeptical of that. You'll need to get a spare tire relocation bracket to open the rear door whereas the 285/75//r17 allow stock tire location.

My 34s rub slightly on the rear fender liner. 🤷‍♂️
