I’d wait, right now unless you’re a very very very very patient I would advise waiting.Just discovered the Grenadier as a former Rover owner and going for a test drive this weekend. Leery of being an "early adopter". Justified? Feedback from anyone driving one for more than 6 months is appreciated.
I've been driving mine since March 2023, now 22TKM. At the beginning I had the well-known software problems with all the indicator lights that are mentioned here again and again. Since the software update, not a single message, not even any unjustified warning sounds. However, I also don't have the assistance systems that are now standard.Just discovered the Grenadier as a former Rover owner and going for a test drive this weekend. >50,000kms in, very pleased with ours but also I had no issue with being an early adopter and presumed to encounter faults and immature support for an early production model.Just discovered the Grenadier as a former Rover owner and going for a test drive this weekend. I ordered one a week after I discovered them in Dec. 2023. Got it last month. Perfect in every way. Best car I’ve ever owned. May buy a second one - was at the dealership this a.m. tempting myself. Love it. Had mine 7 months. I believe this is the last time a company will have the guts to do something like this - and it will easily last 30 years. It’s a tank and has so much character. Door seals in front came loose - dealer put on new 3M tape. 10 minutes. Handle buttons stuck in back - graphite - 15 minutes. That’s it. Yeah you’ve got to turn off the speed warning each time - saved that screen as a favorite, takes 10 seconds at startup. I haven’t heard of door or safari leaks on recent deliveries, remember to turn off the speed warning and click “auto” on your AC, as well as click off auto start/stop. That’s my pre-flight checklist, at which point “Danger Zone” is up on Apple CarPlay.Just discovered the Grenadier as a former Rover owner and going for a test drive this weekend. Hi @docmunny ... we're only four months in with ours, approx 5,000 km. Lotta city. Lotta highway. Several long days of offroading in the rough. Its our family beast of burden. We are not precious with it. We love it. We will deal with its small annoyances and quirks as they come up because, as others have said, it's fundamentally built to last. And nothing else seems to be nowadays. Enjoy the decision making!Just discovered the Grenadier as a former Rover owner and going for a test drive this weekend. Leery of being an "early adopter". It’s pretty crazy the first time you see it right?! I came across it maybe 1.5-2yrs ago and I mentally fell over. My first thought was that it might be a new Defender, which I’ve always obsessed over and wanted. I’ve owned the LR Disco 1 & 2 in the past and now own a LR3 too, but I always wanted the Defender more than anything.Just discovered the Grenadier as a former Rover owner and going for a test drive this weekend. We got ours a couple of days after @ForceV4 did and we met this weekend with the co-owner of our dealership for some fun off-roading! Had a blast! We just passed the 1500 mile mark doing a good deal of off road stuff.I ordered one a week after I discovered them in Dec. 2023. Got it last month. Perfect in every way. Best car I’ve ever owned. Are you thinking about new shocks on it. It be interesting to see what Accu-tune would do with Grenadier. For now, I decided get through winter in the spring look at what has come out by then, it one thing I have wondering about, not interested in putting taller springs on it.Had mine since early December of 2023, with 15400 miles now.

You wouldn't be. It is now on its third model year. As long as you get a real MY24 (or later if you want until next year) you should be fine. The main difference is the fixes (just be wary that in the US, they marketed the MY23.5 as an MY24, and many of the fixes on the MY24 are not in place on the 23.5).Leery of being an "early adopter". Also it great to see all the Grenadiers in San Diego. I loved living down in North County as Kid.
I agree on faster road like Last Dollar Road and like above Creede checking out the Mines up there with 25 psi, it was not that bad. Now what interesting when run down the road at 60 - 70 mph when you hard bumps you can feel it hit hard like a g-out on rear shocks. Type of roads think pre chip seal of roads in Colorado or driving on Hwy 550 before they resurface it after long winter. Road from Telluride to Dolores had few this weekend.I went to Agile Offroad's love fest last Saturday, and saw two different versions of external reservoir shocks for a Grenadier.
Don't know what their road feel is - the factory units are a little like OME for Land Rovers (pretty stiff). Bilstein doesn't make the replacement units for Grenadiers yet (AFAIK), and I am sure fully-rebuildable Fox units could be set as I pleased ($$$).
I just came from San Juan Mountains - the stock Grenadier on stock Bridgestones at 27 psi had no problems with Mineral Creek (I'll write off dings on the fuel tank skidplate as operator error - still getting used to having diffs on the left side after decades with Land Rovers). The factory shocks didn't seem overly harsh on faster but rough roads like Bolam Pass or Last Dollar Road. As the comparisons above mentioned - the ride on rough roads is rougher than in a Range Rover Classic or LR4 at highway airbag setting, but softer than on an LR4 with airbags extended to off-road height.
I've hit a few single-asphalt-layer chips/holes on I-40 in Arizona, at ~75-80. A little scary but no drama.I agree on faster road like Last Dollar Road and like above Creede checking out the Mines up there with 25 psi, it was not that bad. At least we can bang up Gas tank skid, will be able to pick up third party skid on the future when needed.
Also loved your write up on the Grenadier.
In my view (and several others within this forum, some online reviews, and some video reviewers), the RHD version is not comfortable enough for me to honestly recommend to anyone in the same version where daily commuting is required. I drive this thing for 30kms and I'm itching for a more comfortable seating/sitting position which is hard to get comfortable no matter what - as have several of my friends who have driven my Gren.Just discovered the Grenadier as a former Rover owner and going for a test drive this weekend.
