Long story made short to protect the guilty. Not a See, but ‘seen’ report.
Wife and I see an ad for a mountain property that we like. Decide to go to open house. Get there, they already have a full-price/cash-offer, but are we serious? We talk briefly when the husband/owner asks about the IG. I ask if he wants to take a ride? SURE! So we walk to it and I throw him the keys for him to drive- I want this cabin. We drive around, he fills me in open-kimono style on how things are going with selling the place. Lot’s of backstory on the area, the future of it, and their path forward- interesting, but not IG. We take a 15 minute ‘test drive’, and I’m selling it hard. We get back and the wives are bit miffed that they were left to chat- “We are not trading the cabin for the IG”. We also were meeting some old co-workers that live in the area and build houses. When we meet them, they say “Oh, you were the people driving around in the IG today..” Small town, new truck…. They actually were having dinner that night with the cabin sellers (small town) and we find out that they ended up getting another cash bid for over asking.
The IG makes a great mountain transport
The IG made me ‘known’ with in 2hrs of arriving in a small town
The real estate market is overheating and is officially in bat-crap crazy conditions.
