I have decided that I would like to keep the steel rims for when i do overland trips and put the 17 inch alloys on for day to day driving. I approached IG to order and was sent an invoice. It came through as R115 000 South African Rands some $6880 Dollar. This is absolutely mental and just can not be justified. If you Order them when you order the Gren they cost R10 000 south african rand $600 us dollar odd. So I guess there is no way I am taking these Rims. I dont mind paying a bit extra but x10 of the normal price is not fair and a rip off. I am concerned what spare parts are going to cost.

Any other options that anyone has tried and fitted?
What size 17 inch rims am i looking for. Its all very confusing?
That is nuts! You can spend 1/4 of that and get plenty of aftermarket alloys. I’m not sure if it translates there, but the Method wheels I purchased were $1,400 for a set of 5 delivered to my door.

If steel wheels are what you really want, you might try looking for MB Sprinter van ones as they have the same specs.

Do you, or anyone know the size(s)? And load rating?
I'd go with a 16x8 for my caravan as I'm replacing the alloys it comes with. And the tyres for that matter.

Ok guys - I heave read through the thread here and I have a questions that’s hasn’t been addressed - I have an extra set of steel wheels I picked up, but they did f include the lug nuts. I have not seen a picture of the factory steel wheels with the factory lug nuts in the thread and I would appreciate it if someone could post a close up view as well as the valve stem. I need to purchase new lug nuts all the way around as I have the 18” alloys and also TPMS sensors. I am going to clone the existing sensors so I can just swap them out as needed. So here is the real question - doesn’t anyone know if there is an aftermarket option for the lug nuts for the steel wheels? I am going to guess the dealer will want $500 and I assume there is another solution.
Thanks

The set I just got from Tire Rack cost me like $40 bucks. Amazon has them too - 14 x 1.5

Any chance you can send me a picture? The comments about a domed version is confusing me a little. I don’t think the factory ones are “domed” but rather just open conventional lug nuts like you would find on a tractor? I think the ones below are correct.

Thanks

Thank you! Question - are those the factory TPMS sensors? I assumed they would be the rubber version for the steel wheels?
It's as god designed it...factory

Got it and thanks! Just a little surprised they went with the metal stem on the steel wheels as the rubber ones are designed to flex and typically are better for off road applications. Thanks again!

If edited the post the first picture is spare nuts the dealer gave me, but these are capped. I think for the alloy wheels.
Second and third pictures show what’s on my steel wheels.

Thanks! Yes - the 1st picture is the same as the ones I have on the alloy wheels that came from the factory. Thanks again!
