DOOR SEALS AND A "DYNAMAT ROLLER"
When I had the dashcam recently installed I noticed the installer used a “Dynamat Roller” on the door seals, once he had put them back in place by hand. As I might remove the seals from time to time, I bought one. I used it when I got it and found some seals were not completely in position (possibly after the Anderson plug to the roof was installed). Every so often I will give the seals a roll. It is much easier to use a roller, than pressing hard by hand.

I used firm pressure with both hands, but not too hard to avoid damaging the seals.

I also mention the roller in the Dashcam fitout described here.

This is what my roller looks like (available in a few places in Australia and overseas). I bought mine on sale.

Hello sir, you mention feeding an Anderson plug to your roof, I am very curious how you did that, if you would have some instructions or pictures more than welcome please, greets K

I had Expedition HQ do that wiring. So I cannot help with details as I was not allowed in the Workshop. I only know they took off the passenger side trim and feed it up the passenger side B pillar (RHD vehicle). The cable is fitted to the solar input on the CTEK 250SE.

The Dynamat roller worked great when I put sound deadening on my internal water tank today. Lots of water sloshing around with the new tank. The old one in the Patrol was a different shape, which I now know helped minimise the water sloshing around- both water tanks had internal baffles.

The new sound deadening has worked well. Problem fixed, roller used again.
