In 1986 I was working Christmas eve in the Emergency Dept in my first year after qualifying as a Dr.
One of the patients had cut his arm on something ; he was a tourist.
When the nurse handed me the file I thought she was having a laugh at my expense.
However , and I kid you not , his name was Rudolph/Rudolf Reinder.
It is one of many amusing anecdotes that stem from my time working as a hospital resident.
We won't discuss the events that led to me receiving the "Foreign Body of the Year" award for 1986. But let's just say I wasn't the "recipient" of the foreign body.

Lol, my better half has been in the health service for roughly the same amount of time.
The tales she told me of her time in ER nearly led me to be hospitalised for laughing so hard.
You wouldn’t believe (Tazzieman excepted) the variety of objects that had to be extracted from folks backsides that they “fell on”.
Coke bottle tops, cricket balls and burnt hamsters would be the least unusual.
