Calf lever on the driver seat

Does this seat lever not stab everyone’s calf while resting/reverse stretching the leg on cruise control on long drives? Why does it stick so far out?

2, So you can tuck a fire extinguisher and other stuff under there easily.

Frankly...It hadn't occurred to me! Bugger! now I'll have to be careful not to bang my leg 😱

My friend... have you seen our RHD version footwell obtrusion - you really have nothing to worry about compared to us folk.
Yeah, but thanks to the RHD footrest and elevated leg position, our calves don't hit the seat adjustment lever. So chalk up an ergonomic win for those of us driving vehicles on the correct side of the road. 😁
