I'm with you on this, order place August 22 still nothing.I am kinda conflicted on this. On one side I am happy about others getting their car on the other hand people here in the initial markets (EU/AUS) are still waiting and not getting any news about their order.
I am biased of course, but American and Canadian customers were able to place a deposit at the same time as everyone else. While the ROW was able to spec their orders, and enjoy a lower first wave price, we waited. At some point we need to be allowed to jump into the production queue. There are probably hundreds of people in Europe who have their Grenadiers but made a deposit after me.I am kinda conflicted on this. It all comes down to keeping the big market(s) happy. While the US is the largest single country market for the Grenadier, if memory serves me correctly, it has a larger percentage of "lifestyle" (I think I used the correct terminology, someone who has paid close attention to Greg's videos can correct me) buyers than, say Australia or most (any?) of the European countries, which make them a bit more fickle in terms of waiting to get their "next new thing". I believe Ineos understands this very very well, and thus has bracketed a substantial chunk of production capability through this part of the calendar year to producing vehicles for the US to get vehicles to those buyers ASAP. They were very clear from early this year about their build and delivery timelines, and despite a lot of heckling on the internet and even these forums (both by Stateside and international folks), are ahead of schedule for American deliveries. Then again if you're a first wave hand raiser ANYWHERE, and you're not getting your car until after people who stroll into a dealer and order there, you have my full support.
I am a first day depositor with Ineos living here in the US, and all I've got to see so far is an enormous price increase.I am biased of course, but American and Canadian customers were able to place a deposit at the same time as everyone else.
