All we can do.😥

…And fill the gaps with speculation. Definitely, maybe, wouldn’t be surprised, no evidence, but mine might have been plucked out and redirected to a personal friend of SJR…🤔
This could be a very expensive wait...how much does a good analyst cost these days...anybody out there for a Bulk Bill :ROFLMAO:

The information my agent got about mine he seemed to have to work hard to get. Numerous emails and follow up phone calls.
The information is provided to the agent in a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet shows what date the car is scheduled to arrive at what port. The ship name is not included in this, but is obviously easy for the agent to work out.

Mine got an email response from Ineos where it specifically mentions me by name and the ship
As @DaveB said, some dealers seem to get more info than others

Agreed - Ineos Australia seem to be helping with lots of individual requests for information at the moment - I know they have been doing lots of additional running around on my behalf. It’s just a pity that things are such a balls up, that there are so many spot fire issues that they have to run around put out.
The Oz Ineos crew have been really good though.

Jury still out for me. Mine landed at Port Kembla Friday and I paid earlier that week. Dealer is expecting first vehicles from that shipment Friday or Monday hopefully. Time will tell if mine is in that first batch or not.
Andrew-

If your car arrived at Port on Friday 11 August it's likely it will not clear the port for at least 3 weeks (acording to my agent

Spot on Greg.

I spoke to my agent last week and he was quite exasperated with the whole "information" process.

The agent spreadsheet contains vehicle VIN & details etc, customer name, expected date of port arrival but not ship name.

Moreover, spreadsheet is not being updated regularly, certainly not daily nor weekly.

He said they (the agent) are in constant contact with INEOS to extract information for clients but this is taking a huge amount of time. He said he doesn't have the time to call INEOS every time a client calls him wanting a precise update - I assume because he has too many - fair enough too as he shouldn't have to make heaps of seperate calls. The INEOS spreadsheet should be updated at least weekly!

My agent is expecting first cars of that lot to arrive tomorrow or Monday but he has no control over which cars arrive first and then of course they need to do pre delivery on each one and I think there are about 20 in that batch. So everything depends on where in the queue my car is 🤷‍♂️ so there is some chance I could have mine in a week or so, but also might be 2-3 weeks. (Or more, but hopefully not)

Purnell were busy earlier this week clearing 7 IGs to make room for the 20 news ones.

The official Purnell demonstrator should be up and running today or tomorrow. Test drives will start soon, but there is a big backlog of names.

I was given a drive in the Purnell privately owned IG Trialmaster (I only want to ride not drive, Alex drove).

I think that is really the main issue "he doesn't have the time" because he is probably also dealing with multiple other brands of vehicles and high volume of customer traffic.

In Brisbane there is Ignition Car centre.
They currently have 22 reasonably high end used cars in stock and then Ineos Grenadier.
So you are talking about a very small dedicated niche dealer.
Prior to my relocation I dealt with SLRV on the Gold Coast
They are also a small, specialised team and the only small vehicles they do is Ineos Grenadier.
They also have someone dedicated to Ineos and a dedicated Ineos showroom, which is their only vehicle showroom.
I currently own a Mercedes and prior to that I have owned several Subaru, Mazda, Toyota, Ford, GM etc
Stepping up to Mercedes opened up a whole new world of car dealer experience.
SLRV & Ignition are extremely different experiences but still way above a normal dealer.
20 steps above. (In my opinion and for what I am after)

I see the New Toyota Prado is due here in OZ mid next year or was it April? I suspect it will take a lot of sales away from Ineos Auto here in Australia. Jim R. needs to step back into the breech and bang a few heads together. He seems to have lost interest now that the Fun Part is all dusted and done.

I suspect he is now eyeing off G wagen owners.
In the Ineos book he mentions how much satisfaction he gets from walking past the dusty G wagen keys in his garage on his way to his Grenadier. In the early days he mentioned it was going to be a cut price G wagen.
He was a Land Rover man. Still is . Never mentioned Toyotas. I doubt he's ever even driven one.

Many years ago I was driving an Ex Pom journalist around and he disclosed an interesting conversation when he came out to OZ in the early 60's. He was sent out by Land Rover at Solihull do do a story on LR in OZ and when he returned to the UK he fronted up the CEO of LR and gave him a warning that "those Australians are starting to buy Japanese 4x4 vehicles". The CEO at Land Rover took off his glasses, put them on the desk and stated "they'll learn". I think we know who learnt what.
