I have a BMW X6 E71 and do exactly that with my knee on long drives. The raised foot rest for me works ok in the x6 so hoping it will be the same on Iggy. I’ll know in 3 weeks once it’s delivered - it got into the docks at Brisbane last week.
Had a good chat with the owner of one of the first IGs in AU who took his caravan for a 3000klm drive last week, he found the hump uncomfortable for long distances so is looking at options, I sent him the picture below for comparison, I don't think his is anywhere near as small as it. We lifted the carpet/flooring and there is considerable padding under it.
Options - you mean trading it?
No, just finding a solution to the flooring as it is different to what is under it. By 30-40mm and the shape is different also, more upright like the accelerator pedal.

Correct, he is very generous with his Grenadier, even to the point allowing me to borrow it to take to the local auto electrician for him to get his head around that side of things if I wanted. We have been discussing the idiosyncrasies of the IG and solutions to some things he finds that are lacking.

Can't say I have read many owners short or tall complain on here once having driven with it.
agree - but there is a small number that have complained about it or at least raised a real concern over potential long distances and I recall most were taller guys -like +6 foot
To each their own as I’ve had absolutely no issue with it.. I’m 6’4 and prefer a foot rest. The one in my five series is half as wide and the same relative angle and I’ve found the whole seating and driver positioning to be great..
Exactly, each to their own. I agree, you need a foot rest........all I was saying is that the covering could have been conformal hence reducing the bump.
Drove it, and not a problem in the least. If I had to endure the torture of a 10 hour drive I might decide to get out and stretch every now and again.
