I should note that there is a degree of free play when fitted. In both the horizontal & vertical it's a few mm each way. It's less that on my Dixon Bate adjustable however. On a similar setup in the past, there was a tapped thread for a small bolt and a locknut to take up some of this movement. I'm not sure if it worked or not, given the force involved?
So, I was having another look today at this free play issue and noticed that there's a nut welded underneath the Vertical Towing Interface that takes an M10 thread:

And if you wind a bolt in:

It pops out inside the hitch receiver:

With a suitable lock nut, I think I may have found Ineos's solution to free play. I just need to find out if the vehicle mine came off has such a bolt in place and I missed it; or whether anyone ordering the part can tell me if it's included with it?

They're only designed to keep the hitch quiet when NOT towing. If you use it while towing the forces involved can 'mushroom' the bolt inside the receiver & you'll never get it out.
Yes, I queried the forces in an earlier post, but hadn't thought of this effect. 😬

Thanks, I've never seen these before, but I can see the sense of them. Will try and see if there's a UK or maybe Amazon seller. 👍

The 2" receiver drop hitch is standard towing equipment in the US. Look for any hitch that is listed for a class 3 or class 4 receiver. You can also cut some inches off the end of the receiver if it doesn't slide in far enough. I have done this in the past. Of course I don't know what the laws are in Europe.

I commented on the Ineos/Brink previously that the R clip was a very loose fit, that and the fact that Dixon Bate fit two to each pin; having tried them back to back, they are poles apart. The Brink R clip is going in the bin and I'll use one of the Dixon Bate ones. They are the same diameter.

From a visual point of view the Brink should be an upgrade with it's double winding. All that I can think is that it's actually a size too big for that pin diameter; but who makes that kind of mistake...
