That's why Ikea invented these:

A top load fridge can be used to store other items when not being used as a fridge and removed easily if you ever need the extra space. These ones look KickAss and they have anderson plugs already fitted so handy if need to use in a different location around the Grenadier:

Do they make it in "Magic Mushroom" or "Donny Grey"?
Does DCPU have the paint codes yet? We can get ahead of this...

An upright fridge could be interesting set up, pending your needs. Maybe look into 8020 aluminum set up for the cage.

Agreed on content management, that will be important on an off road rig. As far longevity there may be a point there. If used in marine applications they usually take a beating as well.

Any car bodyshop should be able to match the colour for you without a RAL or BS number

I have more options, as I’ve ordered a 2-seater, but I’m considering this little chap. I only need enough capacity to keep drinks and food for a day or two.

A drawer fridge is a fine option on a two seater but the mounting is tricky, if you want to have it accessible whilst driving..You might want to consider a proven "outdoor" brand, AKAI makes domestic stuff, a detailed spec on the type of compressor, current draw etc. does not seem to be available anywhere, which makes me wonder. Engel fridges are reasonable priced in your part of the world, buy it once and keep it forever. There are not many fridges out there you could say that about..

Yes, I've got a 15lt Engel made in 1971 (pictured) and a 39lt made in 1983, both still going strong

Running a fridge.

As I never ran a powered fridge in a car:

Is this simply plug and play when having the prewiring and second battery ordered?
What is the exact location of the power plugs in the boot?
Initial info was there are different Amp sockets in and outside the car.
I am currently looking to install the Engel SB30 into my setup as we usually only need to cool some cheese, milk, fish or meat.

The info is probably out there, so sorry if this has been asked before.

Cheers!
