Americas Would you buy a Grenadier if the closest dealer was 250 miles away?

The paths to my Dealer, I will say the truck has been great to use down in Southwest Colorado and running over to Moab. as people say it personal if you want to deal this class of distance. But I now Red Noland there for me, also will help me with local shop when needed.

Seems like the grenadier is really taking off in the states, more so than Europe perhaps
In Europe you don't need a 4x4, most people get tot their destination without a 4x4.-
And in some countries the taxes are so extremely high for such a car (France, Holland, ...) that only very rich people want to buy it.
Even without "additional taxes", the Grenadier is an expensive car.

But indeed, the penalties for buying a very polluting car are much higher in Europe than in the USA.

And ... the USA is a big and rich country (with a lot of poverty too) with still some quite harsh places to reach.

The Grenadier is indeed a car not intended for mall crawling

I may have a record here: 1467 km / 911 miles as the crow flies. And 90% of that is sea :)

Return trip takes one week and costs around 1000 €. Because of this I have been waiting for a year before I made a decision to buy one. But just now it seems that there will be soon a service location on same island, Tenerife, of at least on the next one, Gran Canaria, which is still within reasonable distance.

I have a two hour journey to the dealership I use but would much prefer to use a local Independant 4x4 garage. Hopefully one day that will be a possibility 🤞🏼
In the U.K. with current sales figures we will end up with less dealerships, as some may end up as just Grenadier service centres. The current amount of sales cannot support the amount of dealerships/sales centres that we have.

F-YEAH!! And we were 400 miles from the closest dealer when we purchased.

I just bought mine 2 days ago, I’m in Ohio and the closest dealer now is Chicago or Philadelphia, although it looks like Columbus Ohio is in the works, (still 2 hours from me , but I can live with that!). Just hoping for the best!

Just found out the dealer in Columbus Ohio is Crown, not MAG (although its right next door), and they're are supposed to be opening tomorrow, November 15th.

I think the location of the dealer is less of an issue than parts... The service of the Grenadier is super straightforward and can be done and any decent shop or by yourself...

I would not. I have had mine for 4 months, and it has had to be towed back to the dealership twice in that time for being completely inoperable. Luckily the dealer is only about 20 miles away in this location, but originally I had planned on keeping this in New Hampshire, where the closest dealer is ~120 miles away. After this experience, I don't feel I could trust the Grenadier in remote locations. The reliability has not been up to par at all, in my experience.

Did you buy off dealer stock or configure your own? I’m really surprised that a build from the last 6 months would have given you that kind of trouble. We’re kind of down to door seals and sticking door handles at this point - even the AC issues seem to have improved.

Bought off dealer stock, but it was built in 3/24. Trialmaster, fully loaded, basically every option. So not one of the weird configs that were sitting on the lot for a long time. First failure was ignition cylinder (3 days after taking it home) which I will chalk up to being a fluke. Now a failed fuel pump, which the dealer has said they have seen multiple of. Seems to be an issue sourcing the fuel pump controller as well, no ETA on getting it back as of yet.

Wow - what a bummer!
