Americas Wolfbox is installed and it is very cool

None of those issues with my G900. The screen is up by the time I'm ready to drive.

I use INT1 to provide power to a Wolfbox hardwire kit. I have a couple of infrequent glitches:

1. Occasionally the mirror does not power up after engine start so I need to cycle the INT1 switch 1+ times to turn the mirror on.

2. If I forget to disable auto start-stop then sometimes but rarely the mirror will shut down when the engine stops and not power up again when the engine restarts.

Irregular and hard to catch faults but I'm convinced these are INT1 / power issues because it doesn't happen if I power the mirror directly from the included cigarette plug. There is also a possibility I have a faulty Wolfbox hardwire kit but I haven't yet made the effort to try a different kit. I do have a spare.
I occasionally get a Wolfbox error upon startup when the mirror shows split screen or cycles through screen views. Wolfbox said to unplug the rear camera cord and reconnect, could be faulty cord. I has only happened a few times since, so I'm left wondering if it is the rear camera cord or the extension?

Mine has recently started changing the view on it's own at startup or even when driving. It's happened 3-4 times and only since the weather has gotten colder.

Damn.. doesn’t seem like a very solid device. A lot of investment (installation effort) to then have a flaky device that’s critcal in nature

I figured it would be unreliable like that.. way too much feature.. voice control, swipe gestures.. I mean it’s essentially an android device.. should have just been simple embedded software that displays a video feed, like the digital mirror that the major OEM offer

Mine has done that a few times as well. Its more annoying that anything else so far. I did fully disable the voice control and it hasnt happened again but that could just be a coincidence.

Given the awful rear visibility and the purported 'built on purpose' ethos, this should have been an OEM feature like is offered on many other 'offroad/overland' vehicles. Even those that are considerably down market like the new 4Runner have a multifunction rear view mirror/camera option.

No usability issues. Swipe screen at start-up before you put the shifter in D. If it continues to change view they’ll warranty it.

I connected my red wire with a fuse tap under the rear seat. I used the 30 amp at the top right of the fuse box. I used a 15 amp fuse. My G900Pro runs perfectly. The Dealer made a mess with it cutting off after a few minutes. They put the red wire in the wrong spot. If the Dealer did the install, pull off the side of the dash, remove the 3 screws at the bottom, take apart and now you will see the wiring for the wolf box. There are three colors balck, yellow and red. I opened up the loom and measured a foot. carfully I cut the three wires to seperate them. Then I cut the red wire and ran a new red wire to the fuse box behind the drivers seat. it is so simple. The new red wire goes under the door channels. Use a plastic trim tool to push the wire in. The moment you put in your key wolf box is starting up. Its perfect.

Since I didn't want the 'parking' mode at all, I eventually ended up tapping into both 15A 12V accessory fuses in the cockpit fuse box. Works great to start up on ignition and power down when ignition off, no parasitic power draw. It always starts up faster than the infortainment system lag can handle the favorite button input so I can turn off the speed warning

Well to be fair there's a teeny number of owners who have said they have some minor niggles versus the many who are loving it but are not speaking up. Perspective.

All things being equal, no one complains OEM simple digital mirrors flaking out. So relatively speaking, I am sensing this wolf box is much less reliable than the OEM digital mirror in our other car which has been 100 % reliable for the past two years. And I have never heard of people reporting it flaking out

There are other brands. Someone needs to give them a shot so please go ahead and report back. Or do nothing and monitor the forum for alternate solutions if that's your comfort zone. A few have noted that the Wolfbox mirror is the best upgrade they have made but it's consumer grade tech so of course there will be failures.
