Yeah - I really like the look of the Owls, but the rounded tube on the frame - and although the face of the step is porous (all the holes), there’s nothing like a spiked surface - so if those get freezing sleet on them, it’s a problem. I’m THINKING Buzz is probably the way to go (more of a true corner on the edge, and the cutouts protrude above the step surface), but also expect to see a couple more options in the market next year. We’ll see. Early trout season starts up in a week, so I’m kind of at “pencils down” on truck projects for now. I got things to “good enough” for year 1, and will do more tweaking for year 2.Look up owl sliders / steps.. I think it will do well in the winter.. very porous and ample surface area
