My heavily modified Defender was insured at near normal rates by Lancaster insurance. Haven’t asked them about the Grenadier which is currently with LV at a reasonable cost.Insurance is always a problem when you start to do modifications, they get all upset
They can refuse payment if you change the wheels. I would have thought an insurance company would have to show good reason of how a particular mod’ had a bearing on the claim. For instance: reversing into something. How would a front bumper play a part?
I guess they could argue dishonesty. If a mod was not declared upfront you were never actually covered because you are dishonest?![]()
