White rims? Thoughts?

I'm liking the steel wheels as an option. What do people think about using white steel rims? I see the new defender has them as an option, and I've seen them old Defenders.

I'm thinking a Green Grenadier with white contrast roof and white wheels would be pretty sweet?

Thoughts?

Yes, sounds familiar, used to have this one (alloy wheels but)

That's my dream of a classic Defender (though I'd prefer a 110 TD5), and I hoped that Ineos came out with something similar.

I've had white wheels for the last 10 years; I think I like them, although rust is an issue.

Happy to give black a go and see if the grass is greener so to speak.

no way - green with green wheels. what about this defender example emax (please ignore the muscle at the bottom!)?

@grenadierboy really nice picture. It‘s this kind of price tag that help me digest the IG pricing and convince myself it‘s not that expensive after all 😉

Very nice indeed. I had white rims on my red 110 before I opted for slightly bigger and safer tyres. Now everything is black below the doors so I wonder if a black roof wouldn’t be a better contrast than the white one.
That’s what I will try with the IG😀

It's less about the rims (white or not ...), but about the color in general. It like it very much.

But the price ... 😲

I have the blue-white 110 as a 1:24 Model.

Which scale?

When I saw the prototype at the Colorado event this summer, the British guy was talking about the steel black rims, and how you can just touch them up with black spray paint. So I guess you could go back-and-forth if you really wanted to.

On the Donny Grey it's not my taste. Metallic and white is not a good match imho.

On the Green one they look familiar, but the contrast is still a bit hard. There is a Green to which it would fit very well (no white rims here, but would be a good choice imho. The roof is already white):

This Bronco was in Tread Magazine over the summer. I don’t like the white grille, but I think this shade of green with white wheels looks nice. A bit like Series green and limestone.
