Wheels and Tires

I'll be ordering the 17" alloys with the Bridgestone 'dueler' A/T. The reasons are mainly weight and tyre availability and trying to reduce the unsprung mass.
Large alloy wheels may not be significantly lighter than steel wheels. Oversize tyres add weight quite much.

But both have minor effect on unsprung weight with solid axle. I don't know the actual weights but a guess is that tyres + wheels + axle + track rod + half of suspension arms and drag link add up to something in the range of 100-125 kg.

rotational mass. Axels and all that don't matter.

I am loving these new Owl Talon bronze wheels. As it now has just the perfect amount of side-poke IMO.

Here is a very nice catalogue I just found with beautiful wheels along with other luxury items. I love the leather door cards.

I would also value an option to have steel wheels painted to match the body color (especially with the lighter color choices).
Picture is a vehicle Mossy had on their website. I almost added them when I bought mine — Mossy charges $1500 to add them. Theirs are powder coated.
What size meats (tires) you running?
Is “meats” slang for tires? If so I need to use this term in mixed company to up my cool car knowledge standing.

I had my steel wheels painted (not powder coat) Scottish White by a local shop for less than half that price, but I suspect that Mossy is better at color matching.

I want to do this! What kind of shop - like a place that paints cars?

Yes a auto body shop can do it. If you are looking for something more durable, you will want powder coat which is a different shop. I would shop around on price too.
