Was wondering what the thing with waterproof 150A. ignition protected was for?

looks like a breaker of some sort and to cut back on sparks near flammable liquids

Speaking out of my rear, I'd also guess a circuit breaker device of some sort. Not sure if it's resettable / fused, but it reminds me of common Tacoma setups for auxiliary loads from a fuse block (to protect the battery / vehicle from those loads):

Or it is simply a current sensor, which does make sense at this location (no pun intended).

But there are much smaller current sensors for 150 amps available. So just a guess.

It's an auto resetting circuit breaker ~ does it just protect the positive terminal from a direct short?

@CountyV8 is that a LHD vehicle? There was a power steering reservoir there on RHD vehicles. Also does that vehicle have the auxiliary battery setup?

The red one - seems to me indeed a jump start connector - and there is a thick cable on the left. - the right element with 150A seems a circuit breaker perhaps preventing energy to be used elsewhere but for jumpstarting. Its a guess - not more. Gonna ask.. Perhaps I visit K&E next week and have a chat.

Hi, this morning I was at K&E
The red piece is indeed a plastic cover for jump start connector
when plastic cover removed seems to be copper or brass plug with grooves. Confirmed By K&E
currently 21 Vehicles at K&E including one in Mushroom.

I did not take a picture from connector, sadly..
Took some pictures of current collection of customer vehicles but bring it in later. More vehicles are on the way for being delivered to K&E.

With 150 A?

🤔

PS: Now I see. You mean the red thing on the left side, I guess.
I thought about the right box labelled with "150 A".

BTW I mentioned you shortly @emax that we are in contact by this forum. Indeed I mentioned the big connector. the little breaker on the right we did not discuss..
