Yeah, what fun. I gather there's a little set of air lockers available for them.My wife has decided she wants a Suzuki Jimny.
So yesterday we went and took this blue one for a test drive.
$500 deposit and 12 months wait for delivery.
AUD$41K
It's going to need a bullbar, driving lights, roof rack and some new suspension (probably Old Man Emu 40mm lift)
Not the chunky offroad tyres just some good all terrains.
Motor could use a bit of a power gain but that might be one thing too far.
It will look interesting next to my Grenadier

Like that picture - I once had a Mercedes A class - (Moose) - and parked along a Chevy Suburban.. in Germany - the Suburban occupied 2 parking lots plus a bit.Memory just came up on Facebook from 9 years ago
My wife had the mini in the front and That’s my Mazda BT30 behind it.
Next year it will be my wife’s Suzuki Jimny with my Grenadier behind it
as far as I know Iveco bought Santana. This Spanish company built a licensed version of the old Defender. The Massif has been the first attempt to bring the dinosaur into our century.I've never heard of those so I googled it. Cool looking truck!
I'm guessing you have the LWB version; what's it like to drive off-road?
edit - I believe the LWB is called the Massif and is the SWB the Campagnola?
I don't know what "Santana" was, but indeed Spain. The Suzuki Santana was - for the European market - build in Spain but was the predecessor of the Suzuki Jimny, a very small performant 4x4. In Ecuador, where I bought it in 1987 - yes, please, don't tell me I am a Dinosaur, i know - it was called the Suzuki Samurai, and was made in Japan. Probably Iveco used or bought the Santana factory. Nice name anyway "Carlos Santana" has very nice musicas far as I know Iveco bought Santana. Sadly the 4x4 was very basic. The motor is, when I remember right, the 3.0 diesel. This could very well be a sibling of the 3.0 Liter motor which has been used in the RAM 1500 in the USA.
Big advantage against the Defender: the back door is big enough to fit a Euro pallet.
