What did you do with your Grenadier today?

Today we have travelled with the Grenadier to Australia and South Africa, among other places, summarised in the Eden Project. On the way back through Bodmin Moor we tried out a byway. For the first 100 metres, only the branches of the trees and bushes scratched the sides and the roof. After that it became so narrow that we couldn't go any further. Thanks to the reversing camera, we reversed out again with scratching noises.
As expected, the colour Magic Mushroom is ideal. You can only see the scratches if you hold your nose directly in front of it.
The next few days we will try out other Greenlanes. F0874406-DB1D-4384-855B-4A613BB617BD.jpeg

Would be interesting if you could find out given issues others have had/are having?
They would not give me details. Time to try another route, but this will take a while.

In the meantime, I videoed my morning issue with water pooling between the driver door seals. Comes as a bit of a surprise if you are not ready for it!

i had the same issue with my Volvo XC60 (2019) on both sides, it "vanished" after one year = first inspection. 😉

Yes, I had a very strange conversation with the Aftersales person when they asked me to sign three separate pieces of paper for 3 different service actions.

Me: "What are they for"
Them: "Various things"
Me; "Can you tell me exactly"
Them: "A clip, a sticker, and something else"
Me: "Can I get a copy of the paperwork"
Them: "No - it's internal only"

The rear door table arrived at my dealer last week and because they have a busy workshop, I collected it and fitted it myself. Easy job, 15 minutes and a bit fiddly in the top corners.. Very pleased with it now it’s in.

Anything in the paperwork to suggest it's a Gearmate part or someone else?

Made in the uk on the 6th of July. Was dispatched from Ineos parts in Belgium and was in Northampton last week. The package was silent on who manufactured it..
Put a towel over the label and pour water over it.
Then it will literally cough up it's secrets.
Works in all the movies

Installed the bike carrier today, with enlarged towing hook, otherwise the spare wheel have to be dismounted.
Now you have full acces to boot, even with bikes.

Looks like it fits very well with the hook extension. How did you extend the hook? So full access means both doors open? Can you share a picture of the hook extension? I have the same bike rack only the Grenadier is missing :-)

Today I watched my Grenadier doing endless donuts at seas waiting to dock. So instead of taking my Grenadier to cars and coffee I took my XJ-S and Alex, my agent brought their demo.

Try one of this ultra bright interrogation lamps!
I am sure it will break its silence soon.

Yesterday, drove to Colchester to see my Mother and returned. Weather was terrible and the Grenadier got to test its door seals a few times in small floods around Colchester, as the planners have allowed building on the flood plain. No error messages all day, but a few times the Waze map disappeared for 10-15 seconds then reappeared and had to reorientate itself.

Mileage just under 6000 and mpg up to 27mpg. Scary £102.70 fuel bill for 70.39l when the truck turned it's fuel gauge orange and asked for more, with a range showing of 74 miles.

Delivery of my Grenadier is closing in fast
I am looking forward to contributing to this page but not with posts of long overlanding trips across deserts and into the never never.
My Grenny (The Beast) will be a daily driver
No idea what awaits me in Walliebum, Golden Fleece or Eureka, but I plan to find out.
From my home in Toogoom I have to drive past the first turnoff to the Childers Pistol Club as it is a very rough gravel road.
This adds time and distance to getting there but with the The Beast I will take the first turn just for fun.
This is sugar cane and farming country, so lots of rain and flooded roads.
It is also only a 35 minute drive to catch the Ferry over to Fraser Island, so heading over for the day or weekend can be a last minute decision.
Probably join a local 4WD club if there are any interesting ones around.
At the moment my vehicle is the limiting factor of where we can go.
Once The Beast arrives, and has the bugs ironed out, there should be few, or no limits.
