What did you do with your Grenadier today?

Picked up a pair of motorcycle handlebar mirror clamps as a mounting option for attaching stuff to the grab bars.
These come in 25mm and 22mm tube diameter. You need the 25mm size.
They come with either a M10 or M8 tapped boss (where the mirror arm screws in) which is perfect to install a bolt to mount all sorts of stuff on the grab bars; sand flags, radio antenna mounts, etc.
Shown loosely assembled and opposing directions just as an example. Not hard to see you could do a lot with a gang of these mounted along the grab rail.

Available on Amazon, eBay etc.

It's an idea I got from another forum member who doesn't post much so I won't mention Dave's name but all credit to him.

It's probably been asked already, but is there provision for oil changes on the custom off-road set?
I had ARB underbody protection on my DMax and it was a PITA to do maintenance so I ran some holes into it for the component drain plugs. A fumoto oil drain valve in place of the engine sump plug was also a good investment.

Great ideas are always simple. Good stuff.
Only issue I see is having to have them turned down so they don’t collect water when not in use if always attached.

Codename Dave had some great ideas. I wish he'd speak up and share. He's a FIFO worker so is time poor when he's at home.

A short dummy bolt and some anti-sieze would keep that boss ready for use.

Oil yes , diffs and TC no.
You could cut your own holes.
I have a drain valve on the tank of my old 911. Always ziptie the lever to prevent a rock or some malevolent numpty opening it!

There is a decent size access hole for the sump plug. These plates are excellent, nice and solid and no bigger than they need to be. Also fairly priced, no Grenadier tax applied.

They’d be handy for mounting work lights that you didn’t want fixed all the time. Just find a suitable mount and thread them in when you headed away

Thanks. Almost got the Eldoret Blue but it wasn't equipped how I wanted it on the lot, beautiful truck you have. I love that color, but do enjoy how little dirt the MM show.

Received the 36" bars from DropRacks (they are supplied with 33" or so in the box). Very pleased and looking forward to solo paddlesports once again!
