The factory winch option costs more. That really is a great setup. Much better than the factory option but damn it is pricey.

I wonder if they considered a bonnet fitting as an optionI did think it was a bit pointless having the vehicles name hidden behind the spare wheel
Definitely pointless behind the spare, but a nice detail on the cargo door if using a bumper mounted tire carrier like the one sold by Long Range America.I did think it was a bit pointless having the vehicles name hidden behind the spare wheel
No, as I previously mentioned I think "jamming" a momentary contact switch off will lead to it burning out prematurely. You haven't jammed it off then? Need help?
I had a different idea. No, as I previously mentioned I think "jamming" a momentary contact switch off will lead to it burning out prematurely.
Which would mean that entire panel would need to be replaced
I also have concerns that Ineos software updates( I am about to get my third) may be modified to run a scan on all components and that could cause it to fail .
At the risk of sounding flippant, the easy solution is to push the start/stop button immediatly after startup.I had a different idea.
You can buy a time-delay relay (this, for example), and wire it in a way that it would close contacts a few seconds after the ignition is turned on, and wire the contacts in parallel with the normally-open contacts of the Start/Stop defeat button.
That and the announcement that they are back in production in Jan.
If I forget my wife hits it when she is in the beast. At the risk of sounding flippant, the easy solution is to push the start/stop button immediatly after startup.
Interesting we are not getting Arcane vehicles in Australia but we are getting Letech portal axles. That and the announcement that they are back in production in Jan.
Yeah. Where's the fun in that?At the risk of sounding flippant, the easy solution is to push the start/stop button immediatly after startup.
I hit the stop start, parking assist and the recirculating buttons on start up but if I don't for whatever reason [memory] the stop start doesn't tell me because it doesn't operate...I have in the past not touched it for quite a few start ups and it has randomly stopped the engine when I have come to a stop. No, as I previously mentioned I think "jamming" a momentary contact switch off will lead to it burning out prematurely.

I hate the auto start/stop feature and your solution is elegant. But I am lazy when it comes to stuff like this so my pre flight checklist of button pushes will have to suffice. I would feel differently if this list could be eliminated, but removing just one does not solve the pain point. We badly need that software update to retain off settings for start/stop, speed warning and lane keep. But I don't actually expect Ineos to come through.Yeah. Where's the fun in that?
As the others have mentioned before, if you're stopped on a hill, and the engine is OFF, the truck WILL roll backwards before the engine starts back up. It happened to me several times early on, before hitting this button became automatic. So while this feature may be fuel-saving, it is unsafe - not generally, but in INEOS' implementation in the Grenadier.
So... This does not appear too complicated to me:

I literally just posted one page back maybe two, that the speed warning is NOT coming off permanently with any software update, and posted emails from Ineos employee whether you want to believe it or not that’s on you. I have also asked about the start/stop and lane keep, but I have not received a response yet and I have a feeling they will be sticking with those are safety issues too and no permanent off is coming.I hate the auto start/stop feature and your solution is elegant. I never expected a software update that would eliminate the nanny alerts and happily bought a Grenadier anyway. It is almost charming that you have to engage with the vehicle before rolling out. Kind of like using a choke or magneto switch in really old vehicles. It is simply part of the ownership experience.I literally just posted one page back maybe two, that the speed warning is NOT coming off permanently with any software update, and posted emails from Ineos employee whether you want to believe it or not that’s on you. 95% of buyers don't get misty eyed over such arcane features but I get your point. It is almost charming that you have to engage with the vehicle before rolling out. Kind of like using a choke or magneto switch in really old vehicles. It is simply part of the ownership experience.

Question is......does it impact your warranty?Yeah. Where's the fun in that?

It may, if something gets fried. But so may any electrical or mechanical modification of the vehicle.Question is......does it impact your warranty?
I have no idea by the way
