We went to the local markets today to get some fresh fruit & vegies.
Left the car parked for about an hour with the dash cam recording and the fans were going after a dpf burn when we pulled up.
When I got back the red low battery warning was on but I have the dual battery system so it started straight away.
Battery was down to 51% but within a couple of minutes of driving away it started to climb and was charging at 117 amps.

I have seen it go that high when in the low 80s. This car knows how to pump out amps when needed.

That’s why I love these. Take them Offroad for a blast and go almost anywhere, then clean them up for a night on the town and have the best looking ride on the road!! So it’s true, you CAN have your cake and eat it too?
I've got to clean it yet, I may be gone a while.

Today I fitted the ARB under seat mounted compressor and Rosen visors from Owl outdoors. I ordered the left hand drive version as I wanted to fit the compressor under the passenger seat of my right hand drive Grenadier. Easy to fit and along with the Owl supplied MORRFlate dual tyre hoses makes a great combo. stand by the passenger seat and monitor inflation from there.
The Rosen visors are a nice bit of kit also.

I’ll let you know after some driving. They seem solid enough but have only fitted and not ised them in anger. They seem very high quality.

@Tinki I have fitted the Rosen visors. They work great for me. They don’t rattle. Stay right where you set them. No creep. The lack of a locking tab is not an issue. I appreciate the adjustability. This time of year the sun is low in the sky on my commute to and from work. This is where they are at their best versus the standard OEM visor. Driving in heavy NY metro traffic my sight distance would be limited to one or two cars with the OEM visor. Now I can see to the horizon.

I wear Serengeti Driver sunglasses that work well enough to block the sun.
Had the same pair for 41 years now as of 18Th December this year.
Side windows and safari windows have ceramic VTX Pro window tinting
I don't understand the need for these sun visors.

I had my diesel IG serviced today (10,000km - I plan to service every 10,000 or 12 months not 15,000) at Ignition Brisbane - awesome guys, if you need them give them a shout.

Anyway, I was given a petrol fieldmaster with bfg’s as a loan car so thought I’d give my feedback.

Firstly - it was black with safari windows (tinted). Had the sun in my eyes pretty much the whole trip to the office.
I had parked it in the sun for 3 hours before moving it. Official temp in Brisbane was 28c (82f) at the time. I got inside it and it was a dead set sweatbox. Started it up and it read the outside temp at 38c (100f). I touched the safari glass with the back of my fingers and just about burned the hair off them - ouch. So for me I’m glad I didn’t go dark, and glad I didn’t go safari. Not in this part of the world champ.

Petrol engine. Didn’t really get to give it any right boot as I was in traffic mostly, but you could tell it had more power than the diesel, only once you got the revs up though. Noticed the lack of torque. Also at the lights I had to check the engine hadn’t stopped (I’d turned the stop start off) a few times because of the lack of vibration that is always in the diesel. Also noticed at the lower end of the rev range it is quite sedate until you give it a bit - needs to be driven above 4000rpm to get any punch I thought.
But the big kicker for me was the huge lag at take off. Much worse than the diesel I thought. If there was ever a reason to buy a throttle controller the petrol grenadier is it I reckon.

Oh, and the average fuel consumption since fill was 17.6L/100km. Assume that was mostly around town driving. And I’m thinking 11.5 around town for the diesel was getting a bit thirsty. 😉

Anyway, my two bobs worth.

Anyway, nice to finally drive the petrol.

Today driving to work , the sun was full and low and the Rosen visors were great. Because I have the seat fully jacked up my view is very limited when I have the original sun visors down. With the Rosen visors I get the full screen to see out of. For me they work great. 👍🏼
