Hi @WolfBox

Thanks for the survey and opportunity to influence future product development.

I'm using a G900 'no-pro' with the rear camera inside behind tinted privacy glass.

1. The rear camera struggles in low light/high contrast environments, i.e. driving at night on dark roads with traffic behind. That saturation is too high and the image gets washed out by the reflection of my own brake lights. Needs a software option to manually tune the rear camera for mounting behind glass, especially saturation and RGB.
A CPL lens filter might reduce flaring from other vehicle headlights.
I don't have access to the G900pro to see if there has been any improvement in these areas.
2. As noted by others and earlier by me in the 20% discount thread; the Wolfbox product needs to extend usability for off-road and towing by adding another external camera port, e.g. for a forward-facing terrain/trail camera or a trailer/camper rear mounted camera. This could be achieved in the mirror but would take significant engineering and cost and possibly require a product branch. This functionality could also be achieved inline at the existing rear camera cable via a camera swap box or a manual switch that is sold as a Wolfbox accessory.

Camera switch examples:

If you wanted to deliver a fully featured off-road and towing solution then a multi-camera powered hub could be developed. This makes the mirror a slate from which the driver can access imagery from all around the vehicle or behind their camper. Thinkware have done something like this for their dashcam products but it also multiplexes the camera streams for recording. I'm not suggesting that, just an off-mirror hub to connect and power multiple cameras and send the selected channel to the mirror for display.

Example:
Thank you so much, sir, for your sincere suggestions! All is noted.🍻

I have the G900.
I have mine mounted on a 67 sevens design. Very good.

I would love to have extra camera inputs. 3 more would be great.
I would love to have extra wide cameras sold as accessories for my use case.
Even better if I could get a box somewhere on the main rear camera wire that can transport several camera signals in one wire to up the mirror for a clean install.
I would put one up front to be used as a near car camera for going over rocks. Useful when I'm by myself and have to go over something gnarly.
I would be okay if I have to activate that camera manually.

Id love to have one on each side of my car. Ideally in the side mirrora but I could put them up by the roof rack. Activates either manually or when turn signals are active as a blind spot camera. I would also use this on slot canyons or forest roads to see how close I am to a wall or a tree.

Last wish...
I wish the mirror autodim a bit better at night. I think it's a touch too bright at night when I get it right for daytime. And it i get it right at nighttime it's too dim for night time. I would love if that was two different settings.

2 month owner and user of the 900 Pro. The installation was straight forward. I used the passenger kick panel factory power lead. I also installed a USB in that kick panel. I love the design of the unit.

I dislike the time available to make changes once you touch the screen for changes.
I dislike being asked to reformat the SD card.
I dislike the random ques regarding wifi and getting that message to clear.

Honestly I really like this setup it, like the Inoes Grenadier, has it's own set of Quirks & Features.

Really one of the only things keeping me from buying one right now is the way it mounts. I know its convenient and easy but those loops hanging from around the mirror is just bad. I'd almost prefer a rubber sock that wraps around the old mirror like a gasket. I think someone said there is another option if you remove the factory mirror but not looking at doing that at this time.
This is my deal breaker too

I have the notification turned off for formatting the SD card. Still comes on just about every day
Did you update the firmware to the latest version? The latest firmware optimized the video fragmentation issue in card. You can download here.

I have the G900.

It is a great product but a few minor (i think) upgrade changes.

  • Better wire management. Possible out the back of the unit.
  • Memory card location. Any spot is better than on top. Out the back would even be better. My mirror is as far up as possible and accessing the card requires me to move the mirror. Or use a paper clip to eject it.
  • Factory mount. While the 67 Designs solution is nice, I am sure other potential customers might decide against because of the price. Rubber straps are fine for those that are wondering.
  • Rear camera extension wire. Maybe it is already available, and I didn't notice it but if I ran the camera wire from front to back having an extra 5 feet would make install easier maybe.
  • Shorter GPS wire. My GPS antenace is attached to the back of the mirror. I do not see it and it works but the coil of wire could be a pain.
  • Instead of a mirror how about a monitor with camera connections. This way users can keep their mirror but still have a bigger screen.

Extremely happy with the product.

Firmware upgrades…why in these modern times that firmware upgrades need to be done by SD card? Most modern computers no longer have drives and downloading firmware onto physical media is difficult. You offer a WiFi connection to a mobile device so why not make it capable of updating the firmware that way?

Would love to get one the technology itself looks really great. Only thing stopping me is the wiring and the universal fit nature of it all. A dedicated Grenadier wiring solution with all the fittings/connectors pre-made and a professional way of routing the wires so everything fits like OEM. Sneaking wires along foot sills or in between seams in headliners and windshields is not appealing.

Remember the days of sneaking speaker wires around an entire room between the carpet and baseboard? We’ve all done it and it worked but felt a little bit of shame at the same time. :)

I am sure a reselling partner either will make a wiring kit or at least has thought about it.

I just received my 900-Pro yesterday, so I haven’t installed it yet. One feature I was hoping for was the ability for a second external camera for integrating a front trail cam or even one of the new thermal cameras now hitting the market.

Wolfbox G900 install here, with the glare film installed and the 67 Designs mount. Very happy, with one exception - the rear camera at night is very grainy and glare-y. I did reach out to WB to see if the upgraded rear camera could be installed, which it cannot on the 900 (just the Pro apparently). Probably would have splurged for the Pro if I knew beforehand. Minor issue - and I have not really researched if it is currently implemented (aka still have not read the manual), but an "auto brightness" would also be very helpful because I never remember to adjust that before I start driving and always muck a bunch of settings inadvertently as I drive.

I have the G900 pro and the rear camera at night isnt that great. Major “halo” effect from head lights and grainy on the mirror display

Hi, as others have said wire management out the back vice the top, wifi pop up is annoying. would like a second camera option or on the rear camera that could flip to interior view for when the pups are riding in the back. The 67 design mount is great but it's almost as much as the mirror.

900 Pro user for last two months. Love it for sure!
My suggestions- *Scaleable Zoom so you could adjust to give a more natural appearance out back. You loose depth perception with the screen presentation but could somewhat make up for it with a bit of zoom. *Plugs on back of mirror——better yet a modular plug on back and jumper input connection box that could be hidden behind headliner etc. *Auto-Dimming that is smart and remembers settings. Dropping brightness to zero now still leave a backlight glow in the screen (probably a limitation of display type). *Second Video Input- I’d like to be able to add a second reverse camera for my towed camper or a fwd facing undercarriage cam to help spot terrain.
