Hi
Anyone had the problem of "running water" in the rear of the car?
I'll explain better, every time I make a thigh corner or a roundabout, i can ear water slushing around from the rear of the car, like having a bath tub in the rear boot. I've seen all around the car an underneath without finding any clue. Before I get mad, it rust itself out, or have to take it to the dealership and let them take it apart, anyone have any ideas?

Will be following updates

Where are the drain plugs? I have the same issue, and I thought the sound was from half empty gas tank with fuel in it

On the bottom side of the frame, on each side of the vehicle. mine was about where the rear of the side step connected.

It’s a black rubber plug. Be careful to be standing uphill as the water will gush out and get you wet if you’re not ready for it.

Thank you! Are there any good reasons to put these plugs back on after removal to drain water

@Marco De Santis , did you get to the bottom of this? I have the same issue and removing the drain plugs hasn’t solved - nothing came out. It’s in at the dealer now and they are draining it, but they are struggling to find out where it came from. If you open the compartment in the boot where the jack is, you can feel there’s a pool of water in there. Must be from the drains that run from the roof? Inside the car is bone dry.

There has been an issue on some vehicles with water penetrating the roof bar covers (the plastic back panel) and running down the rear windows. That water has to go somewhere next. Could be worth a read of the TSB on the NHTSA website. Probably unrelated but if you're looking for ideas there's no harm in checking.

I have had it after rains and car washes. Pull the plugs and water gushes out. Both left and right sides. Not sure how it is getting in. Would love to know.
