water in passenger footwell (RHD vehicle)

I’ve lost count the amount of times the HVAC on my vehicle has been looked at. Sometimes days at a time, but yet no permanent fix for this issue has been implemented. The HVAC has not been replaced (yet).

The attached photo is from a couple weeks back, after about 4.5 hours driving. Only when the humidity is high (Sydney) does this occur. No external water is on the ground of my parked vehicle, ever. The water under the floor mat is much more than what you see above in the photo. Funtimes

Has anyone had the problem of water droplets entering the passenger footwell (RHD) fixed yet? I have reported the issue to my dealer three times and despite assurances that it has been fixed, water entry onto the floor and side wall carpets in the passenger footwell continues. I’m convinced it is related to the airconditioning not other causes.

Yes in the same position. First visit confirmed as safari window seals. Seals redone. Still droplets, went in before Christmas, checked drain hole, dealer confirmed it is definately running done the A pillar internally. Going back in end of January for 2 days to have another go at sorting. Mine only does it in very rain together with a strong wind.

I have had water enter the front left passenger footwell in a RHD vehicle.

It only enters with rain. The left front door seal and both safari seals have been repaired but the leak continues. The leak is definitely not related to the air conditioning. At the moment I have been driving with the drain plug out and the insulated floor covering removed. I usually just have the rubber floor mat. The water trickles in from under the left foot rest near the boot release lever. I suspect the leak is coming from somewhere else other than the air conditioner, the door or safari seals.

If you do not have safari windows, and you get water in the footwell, it is AC related. There is a fix for this via dealers and mine goes in FEB for repair (dash comes out, work gets done, dash goes back in). Hopefully with NO NEW CREAKS!

May I just add to this. If it leaks only when it rains hard, there is a possibility that the seal or possible debris blockage of the front cowel area. Water may overflow into the fresh air intake and down the cabin filter.

Mine is going in on 20 Jan. They haven’t specified what they will do I doubt their plan is to remove the dash. Would like to hear the outcome for you.
