It's interesting that Rivian have gone back on their tank turn, stating it's not compatible with their ethos/environmental principles of treading lightly.
It’s more because they couldn’t find a way to do it safely and reliably on anything other than a very flat very loose surface. It’s much harder than it looks.
 
The issue is whether there will be excessive wear on the double cardan drive joints in the hub. You would think if an extra couple of meters could have been safely shaved off the radius then INEOS would have done that..

You would think so. But it seems some old youtuber knows better than Magna-Steyr!
