Trump announces 25% tariff on all imported vehicles!

Nope. I’m saying they wore the chicken tax as a cost of gaining entry to the US market. Hence why there’s belt tightening all round at Ineos. The rest of the world appears to be subsidising US sales.
Actually the USA is subsidizing the world in weapons, defense, research, and education amongst others. If everbody would pay their fair share maybe tarriffs would not be needed.

On a lighter note....................
This beautiful young male King Parrot landed on a branch outside my window this morning.
He doesn't give a rats arse about tariffs.

You can't take this shit too seriously. The man is severely mentally ill, and it will he held up by thousands of lawsuits. The lunatics are highly insecure and suffer from many capacitative ailments. The weak-minded will lash out loudly in fear and confusion when the realities of the world are too much for them to comprehend. This man can not conjugate a verb or even finish a sentence correctly.

In 2 years the race for the next election starts and everything else is forgotten.
Both sides will promise whatever they think the punters want to hear, knowing they will never need to deliver on it.
Unless Trump becomes a dictator officially in the meantime. (possible sadly)

So many previous countries tried isolast policies and soon discovered they were going broke.
Once all the Mexicans and South Americans are kicked out you will discover there is nobody willing or able to be building labourers on houses, work as nannies or house cleaners.
Pick fruit and work the fields, break down stolen cars (oops)
They do these jobs for cash, daily hire and with no unions or rules.
White folk may think they want these jobs but in reality I doubt it.

🤔 That’s mildly racist.

A majority of Americans voted for these policies. I guess we were tired of all the freeloading off our backs and our dwindling middle class.

Supply and demand will likely find a cure for the job deficit. There will likely be remedy in the form of good old capitalism.

Speaking of remedy, if they decide to adjudicate 2020 we all should get used to the America First policies.

It’s going to be an interesting next few years; looking forward to see what happens.

Often things are racist but also true.
The way your electoral system works there is no easy way to find out if the majority of people did actually vote for someone.
It could be wrong in either direction.
He could have received more or less votes than credited with and so could his opponent.
That is one of the strange quirks of the electoral college system.
Only 538 people actually cast a vote.
It is truly a strange system and unsurprisingly not used in any other country in the world/universe.

He won both the popular and Electoral College vote. The EC vote was a blowout BTW. Dominated.

What needs to be explained is how the previous guy got 81M in 2020. Something’s a miss.

This has turned into a bullshit political discussion with a bunch of people who don’t live in the US critiquing the American system of government and the policies that Americans voted for. If you think our electoral college system is the problem then you are in fact the problem.

I huge lot of us Americans who pay the bulk of the taxes are sick and fucking tired of supporting the world and then hearing about how terrible we are. At least we still have our God given freedoms… well at least those of us who don’t life in Kalifornia.

No doubt a bunch of you hate Trump and that is your right but this is a damn automotive forum and frankly I don’t want to come hear and read about your political views!.

As for the 25% tariff… it won’t last. It’s a negotiation,

unfortunately he was only going to accept one outcome so anything else was cheating because how could such a great man possibly lose.
There may have been cheating, there may have always been cheating
The outcome was still always going to be the same..... either he won or there was cheating.

I still think the whole thing is divided between
  • funny
  • sad
  • scary
  • funny
  • very scary
  • doomed to fail.
  • going to be repeated if he loses next time.

Exactly!

And all the arm-chair quarterbacking, thinking they can run the country better than the person we elected to so is a bit comical.

Lol, this is, literally, the "General Chat and Everything Else" forum labelled for "general banter".

Don't want jokes and hunting and dogs and politics? Don't click. 🍻

Already disproved, the difference was the number of voters who didn't vote or voted for another candidate and voted for Trump where as in 2020 voted for Biden. Kamala Harris won 74,999,166 votes or 48.3 percent of the votes cast Trump won 77,284,118 votes, or 49.8 percent of the votes cast for president. Trump still won but a much tighter race than your graph says.

As an “outsider” I apologize in advance, as I understand you guys take your politics very seriously. I can’t help but feel that Trump has sold the greatest scam in a hundred years to the Republicans, and the great American mation will pay for the scam, along with the rest of the world, friends and foe.

Let’s just hope we can afford it.

And this isn’t political, just observational. I tend to lean to the right hand side of the fence.

I hope the average American also feels this way about him. The whole world thinks the weird orange man is a Neanderthal.

He isn't part of the 71% of Bible hungry Christians. Thbus he doesn't understand or indeed want to invoke öldentimes words
"Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done" (Proverbs 19:17)

“Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Now that's politics and religion done. let's talk about sex. Not getting enough? Can't help you there, sorry!
Get a smaller car.
