Tremec gearbox cannot be switched

The pin was discussed a while ago, here is replacement https://www.mcmaster.com/91610A411/. Note they even have Solidwork cad file for the pin.

My fabric cable tie is holding strong but it would be classy to swap the pins. One of these days...
 
Since it worked OK for 20k km, and you can get diff lock OK, I'm wondering if it isn't a cable connection issue 🤔
I have 50,000 k on mine now and still on occasion it won’t go in. However rolling back with steering input always fixes it.
