Tremec gearbox cannot be switched

OK, it’s not very complicated to remove the shifter. You’ll need to pull the shaft and the spring out, compress them, put the pin back in and then reinstall the shifter. If it happens again, I might have to add a little bit of glue, but overall very easy fix

Can you describe how to remove the shifter?

If anyone finds the pin:
Please measure it and share the dimensions here.
The pin is not available separately - in Germany - the whole gearshift has to be replaced!

That's a traditional way to make a small bulge to pin so that it jams into the hole. There should be 3 of those pressings.
Seems to me if should have been a split pin that would have been a press in fit or perhaps some type of keeper to prevent it from falling out. Instead of a zip tie, would a small section of a tight rubber sleeve hold the pin in or would that interrupt with pulling up on the collar? DaBull

My pin fell out today. How did you pull the lever and knob out?
