Good morning,
We have put together a complete
Tow package to include the receiver mount , the receiver and ball, trailer plug bracket ( at factory location) and all wiring and connections necessary for installation. If trailer brakes are needed we are suggesting the RedArc controller

Please provide more information on where we can get this. I am still waiting on the trailer wiring. Can't believe Ineos hasn't provided a solution to this yet. Thanks.

Can’t wait for more information to be provided (costs, where to buy, etc). 👍

My dealer (Knauz in Chicago) said they can now add the hitch (I already had that done about 8 months ago) and wiring harness after purchase - so I think Ineos has solved it. I’m in for my 12k service next week and will try to confirm

With a NATO plug?
I think that’s unrelated to the trailer option. The NATO plug is on the left of the hitch receiver and is tied to the EXT 4 500A auxiliary switch (if you picked the high power aux option). The trailer plug I THINK is the blank on the right of the hitch receiver and is key-on power (not an aux switch). I think what they are now offering is the hitch receiver and wiring harness with the receiver plug - but I can ask for more specifics on Monday when I drop it off. They never mentioned offering an after-sale high power option - I didn’t think that was ever contemplated.

RDS quoted me around $4,500 for installing the trailer module, wiring, module bracket and programming. They do have the option to add now.
Too pricey for me but it does exist!

That’s crazy - I’ll ask on Monday and let’s compare. What was the initial option cost if you did it in the config spec? I thought it was like $1500-$2k. Can’t remember, but if you do a config now, it’s $800. I understand there’s extra labor after delivery- but $4500????

The price was $800 when I configed my truck in 2023 and I agree $4,500 is insane to add trailer electrics. I'm sure the labor is the bulk of that price as it must be time consuming to disassemble the interior and install the new loom, but it's still outrageous.

The trailer wiring plug is in the back right corner. The bracket and module is a 1/2 hour install at best. I have not seen the trailer plug working to know exactly but no way should it be $4500

I have to imagine there's more to it than that - if not, and your estimate of 1/2 hour - shit, let's say 1 hour is right - it should be 10% of that quote. It will be interesting to hear more details from folks who inquire in person.

Like I said I don’t know what the wiring from the module to the hitch looks like, but I do know where the actual module is and how it’s plugged in. That wiring is all there in my 2024. So 3 feet of wiring from the module to the frame can’t be that insane to install.

I’ll report back to you guys on Monday after drop-off. I’m not going to do it right now, but let me get some detail on the work and the price quote. I feel like this is one of those “surely there’s a misunderstanding” situations - just like when we saw the price discrepancies on the utility rail parts (turned out the Atlanta dealer was quoting for all of them and Boise was just for the rear ones).
