All the wheels have speed sensors, speed reading maybe taken from the sensors.

Did you ever hear anything on this? My dealer says he checked with Ineos and they say no way to recalibrate. Seems odd to me?Can anyone assist with this since it isn’t mentioned in the online owners manual - Will the system allow to recalibrate for different tire sizes?
Specifically the ability to correct the speedometer and gear ratio when larger tires are installed. When the speedometer is left uncorrected, there is a major degradation in the performance of the stability control (ESP), transmission shifting, and engine performance.
Thanks.
Very few (I can't think of any) modern vehicles allow the dealer to recalibrate the speedometer after adding larger tires.Did you ever hear anything on this? My dealer says he checked with Ineos and they say no way to recalibrate. Seems odd to me?
It used to just be changing the little gear on the speedo cable, but vehicles don't have a gear or a speedo cable anymore.Did you ever hear anything on this? My dealer says he checked with Ineos and they say no way to recalibrate. Seems odd to me?
Mercedes G wagons allow recalibration, at least pre makeover. Rivian can change tire size in computer. I'm sure tons of others do as well but the dealers are lazy or possibly just not allowed access I guess.Very few (I can't think of any) modern vehicles allow the dealer to recalibrate the speedometer after adding larger tires.
The OEM has no reason to build in concessions for aftermarket parts
