Quartermaster and Grenadier will likely become the new heavy weight in Australia for the high-end tourer builds in the private sector and less so for major government and regional industry fleets where product support is key for purchase decisions leaving Ineos needing time to develop both dealer and non-dealer service and parts support to be a real threat to LC70. The majority of LC70 sales in Australia are to business and government with the majority of units sold being J79 single cabs so being 4 cylinders will not be an issue.
The V8 for the Landcruiser ends 3rd quarter 2025 and is now only available as allocated to dealers or pre-ordered GXL dual and single cab chassis. This leaves only the 2.8l auto and manual (due October) LC76/78 being the only live axle wagon/van alternative in Australia to the Grenadier.

A long video but shows clearly just what the Grenadier/Quartermaster are competing against in Australia
Toyota 70 series is pretty well ingrained in the outback.

The AM accessories for 70 series is massive... so much to choose from and somewhat 'half' ok priced. Gren needs more competition in the AM stuff.

Yep
There is so much AM stuff and such a demand for it you would think the vehicle had been on sale in Australia for 40 years...... almost unchanged.

The aftermarket is growing faster than I thought. The is already a good cross section with more coming (like JMACX and EURO FLO Expedition Equipment both new to the mix). This is a decent shopping list, which I am updating nearly every week.

More will be announced when INEOS ANZ formerly announces its cab chassis show car.

I did not need as much aftermarket gear because the Grenadier is just better equipped than a 70 series, which needs a lot to be a decent tourer.

I have been holding off until my wife is better and able to go back to work 1-2 days a week.
Maybe February. Hopefully.

Then I will start to add a few things.
I still have to carry stuff for work but would like to put
maybe a draw fridge and a draw in it. Don't want to go too high though.
Side baskets and a roof shelf.
Roof platform
270 awning
towbar step
Probably some stuff up the front for extra storage
Somewhere to put my hat so I don't have to just throw it on the back seat.
I would prefer Australian made. Maybe Kaon, Grenx, Clevershade.

The aftermarket accessories are growing quickly worldwide but we haven't seen too many companies getting into the spare parts and consumables for the car. I am keen to see any aftermarket parts companies develop service and spare parts kits, so owners are not limited to OEM and dealer prices.

Most of those item are in the list (rear roof shelves, 270 awnings, storage stuff), with plenty of Aussie companies.
