Quartermaster and Grenadier will likely become the new heavy weight in Australia for the high-end tourer builds in the private sector and less so for major government and regional industry fleets where product support is key for purchase decisions leaving Ineos needing time to develop both dealer and non-dealer service and parts support to be a real threat to LC70. The majority of LC70 sales in Australia are to business and government with the majority of units sold being J79 single cabs so being 4 cylinders will not be an issue.
The V8 for the Landcruiser ends 3rd quarter 2025 and is now only available as allocated to dealers or pre-ordered GXL dual and single cab chassis. This leaves only the 2.8l auto and manual (due October) LC76/78 being the only live axle wagon/van alternative in Australia to the Grenadier.

A long video but shows clearly just what the Grenadier/Quartermaster are competing against in Australia
Toyota 70 series is pretty well ingrained in the outback.

The AM accessories for 70 series is massive... so much to choose from and somewhat 'half' ok priced. Gren needs more competition in the AM stuff.
