I have a Class III 2" boat trailer hitch, jet ski trailer hitch and bike rack that I used with my former vehicle. None of them fit into the factory installed INEOS tow hitch receiver which is undersized by approximately approx. 1/32". The INOES tow hitch receiver port measure 2.010" x 2.036" (so at least it's over 2"), however, the trailer hitches and bike rack I have measure anywhere from 2.045" to 2.052". Anybody else have this issue?

I had to buy the "USA 1" DO35 trailer hitch to fit my tow tongue, so I'm sure there's an Aussie product for you :)

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I outlined the situation in reverse for our metric oriented brethen who live across the pond where the recievers are "50mm" on their build sheets.

In those issues their 50mm receivers were shipped with 2" attachments. While 50 mm and 2" are similar, they are not the same 2 inches = 50.8 millimeters.

It sounds like you might have metric bits going into your hitch. Were these previously used on a metric vehicle?

I found the receiver tight as well and at one point thought it was too small. At first I thought the coating might be applied to thick inside the receiver and was tempted to use a mallet to make it fit but eventually figured out its just a very tight fit…no hammering required. Just like she said, if the tougue angle is off, even a little, it won’t fit.☺️

My hitch fit in easily, so tolerances for hitches and receivers are all over the place. Someone on another thread recommended getting a grinder. A good tool to have, can be used to address any number of issues.

I had same issue, I did use a grinder, basically took off the paint and have had no issues and can not notice at all.
