The one that is recommended by your agent for your current environment. 😉
I don’t know if you missed the headline in bold but I’m asking for the exact model of our engine. I simply posted the pdf because it lists all variants. I already know what oil I’m using.

According to @Stu_Barnes it's the B58MO

Wikipedia says

B58B30C: 250 kW (335 HP)

I went and checked. Hard to get a good angle. Engine identification is on the vehicle-right upper front part of the block (as indicated on page 9 of the ST1505 BMW Engine Info Manual mentioned above). It is behind several hoses, so hard to get a good shot with a phone... but here it is (See photo below). "B58B30C" is correct as Nadir5 said.

I believe it is a variant of the "medium power B58TU" variant of the B58B30M1, which is one of the several "B58C" versions (aka B58TU, aka B58 Gen 2). I base this on :

  • HP Fuel Pump top is domed (vs indent of original B58) - see page 33 of ST1853 B58TU Engine Ref Manual
  • "Spider Web" pattern of the top of the black plastic intake manifold (B58 original has a grid pattern, like graph paper) - see Kern417 video at 7:22 mark
  • Integrated exhaust manifold with 2 exhaust ports from head to turbo (vs 6-ports on original B58) - easy to see visually on your truck, and reference page 5 and 6 of ST1853 Ref manual
  • Air intake from turbo to intake manifold has the "flex ribs" near the top - see cover image of the ST1853 Engine Ref Manual

Note: The Grenadier engine is NOT the B58TU2 (B58 Gen 3), which has 'mild hybrid' components.
