We've been round the NC500 - before it was even called the NC500! A wonderful road trip. If you get to Islay, give me a shoutId like to do the nc500 since I've always had Audi rs3 with 255/30 tyres which just hated pot holes , went through 5 tyres in 6 months with one . So more trips out west/north of Scotland would suit me
Would like to meet some of the local members to myself.
Just hope the car keeps performing as well as it is for me ,
Bet it was quiet back then , I have read that it is so busy during summer . I will keep that in mindWe've been round the NC500 - before it was even called the NC500! A wonderful road trip. If you get to Islay, give me a shout![]()
I am hoping to meet up with other owners again next year; we come to Blair Drummond (Stirling area) regularly, and usually try to meet other owners for at least a coffee - possibly the same further NE as well. Watch out for a new thread in the new year!
Merry Christmas![]()
We did it three years ago in our Defender in sept/oct. Lots of rain so not the best camping weather.Bet it was quiet back then , I have read that it is so busy during summer . I will keep that in mind

Yeah Id want to go summer time but that's peak camper van season. Yeah I've been up the east coast to wick , it's not impressive the way the grand tour done would be good up the west coast then cut across to InvernessWe did it three years ago in our Defender in sept/oct. Didn’t think much of the east coast but loved the west coast. We got to camp on a friends estate nr Tongue which was wild and remote.
