That looks about right.Starting to get my bird hunting rig dialed in, and I have some kennel sizing feedback that I thought other owners might appreciate. Ruffland Kennels has a new “Backseat Rider” size that is the largest kennel I have found that will fit lengthwise in the cargo area on a drawer with the back seats up. This kennel is the same height and width as their “Intermediate” kennel, but slightly shorter.
Also, I have found that the Mud River Truck Seat Organizer works very well in the Grenadier. It can be hung off the front seats when the back seats are up, or hung off the kennel handles when the back seats are down. So far it has seemed very well made and functional.

That’s the set up for when I’m hunting locally or getting in and out regularly. I have a foam insert in the drawer and can fit a broken down double gun for longer trips or when I want some extra security. That looks about right.
Guns through the sides, and dogs out the back, correct?
That’s a very safe way to do it.
I’ve heard the Truck Vaults are really well built and very secure, and that slide out table is slick. Wondering if Truck Vault will ultimately do a more custom version for the Grenadier.Nice set up.
I’m really pleased with my Truck Vault Drawer and Slide out table in the back. My old medium wire cage just barely fit above the drawer and I plan to replace it with a Ruffland Medium to make it easier to get them in and out. I can fit my 28 ga. O/U in the drawer diagonally. But had to carry any other shotguns in their take down cases. I’ve got my Rotoplex water can in the side basket and it stows nicely out of the cargo area. Refer to my Truck Vault post on the interior page.
I didn’t find anything on their site. Or are you referring to the Explorer version with slide? Looks really great btwYes you can order a truck vault for the Grenadier now.
You should contact them and ask for Rochelle. It would be a custom order.I didn’t find anything on their site. Or are you referring to the Explorer version with slide? Looks really great btw
Lovely to see a decent dog, a single quail, a man shooting a side by side 28 bore, and a car that has everything you need in the back without it being too fussy. The antithesis of the bespoke burr walnut gun and drinks cabinet in the back of a range rover accompanied by the biggest 12 bore blunderbus that the owner could buy and more birds shot than could ever be eaten. Something that we see all too often where I am from. Horses for courses and each to his own but your shooting days and style are a class above in my view. Looks like you have some some great hunting country in Arizona as long as you have a decent dog. Sorry that Macie is no longer with you. Here was my last photo of our 12 year old Gordon Setter Macie with my last Gambels Quail of the Arizona Season with my Webley and Scott 28 ga. double. The next couple of photos were the day that Maicie passed away a couple of weeks later after she and I did a short last hunt together. She will be greatly missed.
