Also in the LC250 and 4Runner, I just can not drive a 4 cylinder engine even with Turbos and small hybrid system ( not happy about they picked heaviest battery tech Nickel based, ) , even with good 4 cylinder from Audi or BMW, every time they would give me loaner with 4 Cylinder and turbos car I felt like I had Hamster running on treadmill getting the engine going and they why they whine. Rather listen to two cycle motor. One positive LX550 other then melting Mirrors and possible that engine and transmission will be recalled like Tundra, it is a V6.

I guess the 4 runner best delta is windshield is not a upright, but here Colorado I see them cracked all the time on current trucks, but it also selectable 4wd so you can drop to 2 wheel when it is summer time driving, but you still have Hamster up front like LC250. I like the 4runner aka 2024 and older 4 but they were just to underpowered for the the Mountains were I live, I go up in friend of mine to Purg with him when we ski together, it just chugs in thin atmosphere, Still great looking truck. It is also the official Truck of Durango there are everywhere here, and the car of choice is Subaru.

This where the Grenadier is so much better at running up in the mountains from 6,000 - 11,000 feet rolling up Hwy 550, for a tubby tank, it can really accelerate when you have to, also have to watch how heavy your foot gets.
The Grens power train is perfect IMO. Perfect balance of power and gearing. No issues pulling up high elevation mountain roads. Unlike my 100 Series which can't get out of its own way at elevation. The 250 felt rough, clunky, and unrefined to me. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the Gren. The Gren is smooth and feels fantastic.

I love the that fact BMW has been working on inline6 since 1913, ok back then for Aircraft, but it evolved to cars, Smooth Power delivery is lovely with inline 6

Toyota says there is no market for the 70 Series LC in the U.S. but the Gladiator and Ineos are starting to negate those false claims. What they should say is that its part of a market they don't want to cater to in the U.S. I fully understand that the 79 is not for everyone, but neither is a Jeep Wrangler.
I have been driving Land Cruiser since 1986 and wanted a series 70 for a good while. They should have made it USA compliant, stuck a diesel in it and they would have sold lots of them. I would have bought 2 of them if they had.

They claimed there was no market for that style of vehicle. The Gladiator shattered that myth of no demand for SUV style truck. Then It just became clear they just didn't want the hassle of making a 70 Series meet US auto specs.
